We chose A W Lymn, because we knew they would be excellent. And they certainly are. From the offset of the phone call to then meeting Dominic in their Bingham Branch. Dominic was respectful but also thorough in ensuring nothing was missed. He was there to ensure my mother in law had the funeral we wanted and not for him to push more services that would cost more money. We cannot thank Dominic and the whole team including Nigel and Matthew who took it out of there busy day to be pall bearers for my mother

A.W. Lymn’s Bingham funeral home has a proud and long-standing history of serving the local community. Originally opened in 1964 as Bingham and District Funeral Service, the branch operated under the Beeson family alongside their Carlton, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Ruddington locations. All became part of the A.W. Lymn family in 1994, continuing a tradition of professional and compassionate care that dates back to 1907.
The building itself was formerly owned by the Squires family and functioned as the town’s local stonemasons, adding historical significance to the premises. In 2024, the Bingham funeral home underwent extensive refurbishment, introducing new, state-of-the-art facilities designed to offer families a modern, comfortable, and peaceful environment during times of need.
Dominic Lister, who has worked at A.W. Lymn since 2009, is the Funeral Director responsible for the Bingham office. A second-generation funeral director, Dominic lives locally and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. He is a qualified Civil Celebrant and also serves as a tutor for the National Association of Funeral Directors, reflecting his commitment to the highest professional standards and continued education in the funeral profession.

They both took so much pressure off me personally and treated me as such an individual taking my feelings and emotions into account whilst dealing with the death of my grandmother.

Was lovely for the main…..a couple of blips when going into church, and the songs….microphone was very quiet, not the fault of lymns tho…..beautiful slide show, which is what I wanted above all else.

The funeral was exactly what my husband would have wanted. The staff were very professional, but friendly at all times and made us feel at ease. They were quick to respond to any changes we wanted to make. The funeral Celebrant put us all at ease and conducted a beautiful service with feeling.
