A.W. Lymn’s Bingham funeral home has a proud and long-standing history of serving the local community. Originally opened in 1964 as Bingham and District Funeral Service, the branch operated under the Beeson family alongside their Carlton, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Ruddington locations. The building itself was formerly owned by the Squires family and functioned as the town’s local stonemasons, adding historical significance to the premises. Dominic Lister, who has worked at A.W. Lymn since 2009, is the Funeral Director responsible for the Bingham office. He is a qualified Civil Celebrant and also serves as a tutor for the National Association of Funeral Directors, reflecting his commitment to the highest professional standards and continued education in the funeral profession.

From initial contact with Dominic to the service at the Sherwood Forest Crematorium all arrangements went smoothly to plan and the few people at the service thought it was appropriate and no one had any adverse comments. My personal point of view matches that of the other people and I am grateful for the help and advice offered by Dominic, together with his prompt arrangements and consideration.

This is the second time in four years that we have used A W Lymn in Bingham to organise a funeral. On both occasions, there were complex issues of timing that needed to be addressed to allow key relatives and friends to attend.
The staff at the Bingham office, supported by colleagues from elsewhere, were models of efficiency and professionalism. Perhaps more importantly, they were sensitive and caring in their dealings with bereaved relatives across a range of age groups. We could not have asked for a better experience.
