A. W Lymns are very professional, would definitely recommend to anyone. All through the process from the time they came to see us to make the arrangements to looking after Mrs holland at the chapel of rest to the actual day of the funeral. This was handled with care and professionalism. By all members of the lymns family. And the respect they showed to my mother and all family members. We wish the thank each and everyone who took part. A.W. Lymn’s Bingham funeral home has a proud and long-standing history of serving the local community. Originally opened in 1964 as Bingham and District Funeral Service, the branch operated under the Beeson family alongside their Carlton, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Ruddington locations. All became part of the A.W. Lymn family in 1994, continuing a tradition of professional and compassionate care that dates back to 1907.
The building itself was formerly owned by the Squires family and functioned as the town’s local stonemasons, adding historical significance to the premises. In 2024, the Bingham funeral home underwent extensive refurbishment, introducing new, state-of-the-art facilities designed to offer families a modern, comfortable, and peaceful environment during times of need.
Dominic Lister, who has worked at A.W. Lymn since 2009, is the Funeral Director responsible for the Bingham office. A second-generation funeral director, Dominic lives locally and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. He is a qualified Civil Celebrant and also serves as a tutor for the National Association of Funeral Directors, reflecting his commitment to the highest professional standards and continued education in the funeral profession.

The whole service was efficient and sympathetic, from first phone call, to meeting Maggie, to the support at the Crematorium from Mark (?) and the other men. We truly felt we were in safe hands.

When my wife Sam died I was completely lost on what to do and how to organise the funeral. Sam was not religious and had asked specifically for religion not to be part of her service. All I can say is that what we received from Lymms was the most beautiful celebration of life I and our friends and have ever witnessed. Every aspect of Lymms care of Sam understanding of what we wanted and delivery was first class
Cheryl who conducted the service was that good guests asked me how long she had known Sam for. Her empathy was so moving and genuine I won't forget it. The beautiful way she entwined SAMs favourite Ellie Goulding sing into her summary was truly unique. I don't know where it stands on funeral etiquette but as I was thanking Rob after, I couldn't find my words to thank him and Nigel and the team and could only express my gratitude with a big hug for big a hearted man.

What excellent service, we received from Lymn's, at bingham. From first going to see Maggie, who was so kind , thoughtful and respectful, bless her, she was lovely, and made it so easy for us, with no worries. Then, Dominic and the driver and the bearers, were so professional. Everything went so perfectly, from start to finish, we couldn't have wished for anything better, for Jim's celebration of his life. From the first time I went to Lymns at the approach of the death of my beautiful wife to the death itself, everything was so well orchestrated and organised. This left little for me to do as far as the funeral itself was concerned. Lymns could not have been more helpful at time of extreme family stress. I do thank them for everything they have done.

The team were obviously very experienced and organized. Everything went to plan and all our requests no matter how small were accommodated. The team made a difficult issue more manageable.
One never wants to have to use the services of a funeral director but it is a reality of life that we will, I would not hesitate in using Lymn's again.

On time and could not be more pleased with the lovely casket of woven banana leaf.
The flowers looked beautiful and the phantom was very fitting.
We were all made to feel that we were in good hands so respectful.
