I cannot recommend A W Lymn Bingham enough. The help that we received from Dominic Lister was first class. His can do attitude lifted a huge weight off my mothers shoulders. Nothing was too much for him to do. In what is a hard time for families be reassured that Dominic Lister will do everything possible to help your family through the process with concise information and understanding of what your family requires.

A.W. Lymn’s Bingham funeral home has a proud and long-standing history of serving the local community. Originally opened in 1964 as Bingham and District Funeral Service, the branch operated under the Beeson family alongside their Carlton, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Ruddington locations. All became part of the A.W. Lymn family in 1994, continuing a tradition of professional and compassionate care that dates back to 1907.
The building itself was formerly owned by the Squires family and functioned as the town’s local stonemasons, adding historical significance to the premises. In 2024, the Bingham funeral home underwent extensive refurbishment, introducing new, state-of-the-art facilities designed to offer families a modern, comfortable, and peaceful environment during times of need.
Dominic Lister, who has worked at A.W. Lymn since 2009, is the Funeral Director responsible for the Bingham office. A second-generation funeral director, Dominic lives locally and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. He is a qualified Civil Celebrant and also serves as a tutor for the National Association of Funeral Directors, reflecting his commitment to the highest professional standards and continued education in the funeral profession.

Dominic at Bingham was fantastic, absolutely faultless. He covered everything off and was always available whenever I called in or phoned. He was sympathetic, calm, thorough and I had complete faith in everything he set up and arranged, nothing was too much trouble for him.
On the day he was great, professional and it was reassuring to see him on the day making sure everything went to plan. Thank you Dominic and I would certainly recommend Lynms to anybody.

Thank you to Dominic and the team at A W Lymn for all their help in arranging dad's funeral. From start to finish the whole process was made so easy which took the stress off the whole family during a very difficult time for us. On the day of the funeral the procession and service were perfect and in particular we were all very moved by the piper playing which had also been arranged by Dominic. We would not hesitate to recommend A W Lymn due to the sheer professionalism and compassion they show towards the bereaved.

We cannot praise Dominic (Bingham branch) highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble, he kept in touch with us at every stage, which meant such a lot. The respect shown to Mum was outstanding, and the respect shown to us was equally outstanding.
Lymn's made Mum look so beautiful and peaceful, for that we are truly grateful.
We would also like to thank all the drivers and pallbearers who looked after us on the day of Mum's funeral, simply again - outstanding.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your help, understanding and respect at what was such a difficult time for us.

At a time when our family was feeling so much sadness, having to arrange something so important for someone so loved would have been extremely difficult. However Dominic and team not only took the stress away but made the whole process from start to finish so much easier for us all. The service we were given from the start was A star. Maggie could not do enough throughout the arranging. On the day Russell the director was brilliant. All staff made the very difficult time much easier for all involved!
