Richard Ward was recommended by a good friend. They helped us to make the funeral service very personal to our mother. The funeral directors were 'invisible' to us most of the time, which is how it should be, but extremely on the ball when it came to making sure we had choices, like offering us a flower from the coffin spray, and helping to make some friends in wheelchairs more comfortable by guiding them inside out of the cold wind. We felt the funeral was very much 'our' day to say goodbye to a much loved mother. Thank you for everything you organised for us.

Richard and all his team are.
They all went above and beyond from the minute we contacted them.
Nothing was too much trouble.
They helped us every step of the way. 
The funeral was perfect, the flowers was perfect - everything was perfect! 
A huge thank you from the Mattock family for showing our family nothing but care, compassion, empathy and most of all respect.
A massive thank you to Fred for looking after Luke for us.
It was a massive reassurance knowing Luke was being cared for by such a genuine, caring and professional man.

From start to finish we felt like Richard and all his amazing staff treated us like family. No request was a problem. They were always there on the end of the phone. We laughed and cried with them. My mum would have loved all the attention she was given by everyone. She would have said that she was treated like a queen. Thank you all your amazing and so caring. God bless you all xx❤️

Richard Ward Funeral Directors we’re absolutely amazing in helping us to organise  my husbands funeral.
Naomi was extremely helpful going out of her way and answering all my questions.
Also we were recommended a Independant funeral celebrant as we didn’t want a religious funeral.
He was excellent and I would use this company again in a heartbeat.
The funeral was a really nice funeral with added humour and remembrance .
As far as funerals go this was by far the best. They  catered to our every Wish.
I cannot thank them enough.
