Following the sudden and unexpected death of my father, we asked Nigel Guilder to take care of all of the funeral arrangements. From my initial call to the funeral itself, Natalie provided a kind, professional and empathetic service. At a time when grief can feel overwhelming and an emotional rollercoaster, we felt very supported and our needs valued. In the run up to the cremation, Natalie guided us through the decisions that needed to be made giving us time and space to think through our options. At the cremation service, her presence was reassuring and discreet allowing us to grieve and reflect on the life we had lost. With an elderly mother in poor health, it is only a matter of time before we will be going through this again and we will have no hesitation in turning to Nigel Guilder to help us in our time of need.

For my friends funeral plans I had John to guide and help me through this unknown and also sad time.

Natalie did a fine job making the arrangements and directing the team on the day of the funeral with warmth and courtesy. The same was true of their handling of my father's funeral 10 months earlier. I would not hesitate to recommend Nigel Guilders Ltd! My sister and I wanted our lovely dads funeral to reflect every aspect of his life. We wanted it to be colourful, joyful and unique to him. Natalie, our Funeral Director went above and beyond to ensure that this happened. The day was absolutely flawless and everything was handled professionally but with the utmost care and attention to detail. My team leader was Natalie.  she guided us through every stage of the process, and  made it so easy with kindness and sympathy, allowing us time for reflection and decision making!  On the day, she was amazing, letting us know exactly when to move forward and when to just stay back for a moment.

The funeral service provided by Nigel Guilder completely removed any stress associated with arranging the funeral of our father. The initial meeting was compassionate and sensitive to our wishes. The suggestions for the location, the celebrant and the wake were excellent. At every point we were kept informed.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were instrumental in making a day we were dreading in to a lovely celebration our our fathers life.

Nigel Guilder has now organised three funerals for me. They were initially recommended to me and I am happy to recommend them in turn. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now (although I hope I don’t have to for quite some time to come). Each funeral has been well organised with no problems.  Arranging a funeral can be such a tough thing but Nigel and John seamlessly manage everything that needs to be organised and guide you through each stage with kindness, respect and a very welcoming style.They have a lot of local knowledge. I felt totally confident that each family member was well cared for leading up to each funeral. All the team are helpful and easy to speak to. I received regular updates via telephone and email and it felt like nothing was ever too much trouble. I highly recommend Nigel Guilder.

Thank you to the entire team. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would especially like to thank Natalie, our main point of contact, for her thoughtfulness and attention to detail in assisting us in planning a lovely send off. She was very professional, but also warm and compassionate - we felt as if we had known her for years. She made a difficult task a lot easier to bear. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were so grateful for her guidance and recommendations, which included not only Test Valley Crematorium (which we had no idea existed) but also a celebrant and even a venue for the wake – which seemed such an obvious choice once she had reminded us of it! The small touches, like giving my father, brother, and me a rose each from the casket display and laying one on the coffin for my mother before we departed for the wake were very touching. We cannot fault the service provided and highly recommend Nigel Guilder Ltd to anyone in need of their services.

Polite and professional service. Eased me through the funeral process. The funeral Director was friendly, considerate, easy to talk to and available to contact by phone, email or in person. Managed to cover most things within the funeral plan. I do recommend having a funeral plan in place through them because some of the choices have already been made and the monies already paid - therefore less to deal with at the time of bereavement. Funeral Director and team explained and answered every question I had truthfully and was a great guide and support through the service. Totally recommend Nigel Guilder Ltd.

Nigel Guilder Funeral Services were absolutely first class in every single respect. From the moment they were contacted following my mother's sad passing each one of the staff were kindly supportive and helped us every step of the way in order to provide a funeral service that my dear Mum would have been proud of. Nigel, Lucy, John and Natalie each provided prompt attention to all our enquiries and provided an always willing hand... Most of all we valued the friendship they offered... It didn't feel like a business relationship at all... We felt they truly cared for all of us and that they wanted to provide the very best personal service possible. We must give special thanks to Natalie, a ray of sunshine who we utterly trusted to take the very best care of Mum - which she did - in every sense. Natalie gave us friendship and support every step of the way...a truly wonderful person.
