Mum had arranged a funeral plan so most of the costs were covered but as helpful were the instructions she had set out with Guilders.
All the arrangements were handled professionally and sympathetically throughout leading onto the funeral itself which was perfect.

We found all the staff to be caring and attentive to small details at every stage. They were aware of our feelings and respectful of the grieving process we were all going through in different ways. They helped a lot to put  us at ease and were a great reassurance and support on the day of the funeral. John phoned to check how I was in the days running up to the funeral and how things were going, which I appreciated.

Natalie, at Nigel Guilder's, provided excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble.
The environment at Nigel Guilder's is welcoming and the meeting room is like being in your own home.
The funeral service went very smoothly. I felt well cared for throughout the whole process at such a desperately sad time.

We chose Nigel Guilder Funeral Director for our fathers funeral. After much shopping around (which seems very strange, but something you have to do when your dearly departed wishes are for a cost effective affair but as his children also wanting a fitting send off for our wonderful dad. Prices varied between companies massively, but Nigel, John and Lucy were always very upfront and clear with their pricing and services. They are all so professional and kind and made the whole process very personal with an incredibly caring approach. We felt so at ease with the team ‘looking after dad’ and they did an outstanding job. Lucy made the most incredible Order of Service, John who we first met was very calm and clear on pricing and Nigel on the days before and on the actual day of the funeral made us all very calm and ‘at peace’ with dealing with a death of someone we loved so much. Thank you to all the team - you were all just so wonderful and we had a ‘send off’ that we know dad would have been happy with & we can also look back and have the memories of a special day saying goodbye to our father.

We were made very welcome from the start and John and his team were never less than friendly, courteous and professional in everything they did. We found we could relay on them completely - just as one needs at a time of loss and when there are many aspects of proceedings with which one is unfamiliar.
