About Us
Established in Nottingham in 1897, C Terry Funeral Services are Bulwell’s longest serving independent funeral directors. Run by the Terry family for five generations, the company prides itself on upholding high levels of professionalism, reputation and care.
All types of service are catered for, for all religions and cultures, as well as non-religious and green funerals. Besides the traditional hearses, C Terry also offer alternative transport, such as horse-drawn hearses and motorcycles
The funeral homes opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturday morning from 9 am to 12 pm.
If you need a funeral director outside of these hours, C Terry also run a 24-hour on call service, which is available 365 days a year.
What Families Say
AI SummaryMany families emphasise how the staff guided them through the funeral arrangements, listening carefully to what they wanted and keeping them informed at every stage. Several note that particular staff members—especially those working at the front desk—helped them feel at ease during one of the most difficult times of their lives, with nothing ever feeling like too much trouble.
On the day of the funeral itself, families repeatedly describe how smoothly everything ran, with the funeral director and their team showing patience, respect and genuine care. Families often mention specific touches—small details about how their loved one looked, how their wishes were carried out, or how staff made them feel supported when emotions were high.
Many families return to the cost and value they received, remarking that they felt looked after as though by family rather than treated as customers, and a number mention they have used the funeral director multiple times across generations of their family, always with the same standard of care.
