From our first contact to the committal everything was first class. The planning of the funeral with Sam in Hunstanton and the recommendation of a superb celebrant went without fault. On the day under the supervision of David Coggles and his team and the excellent celebrant Mark Tyack we felt we were in safe hands and everything went well. The service I received from Coggles was in most aspects good. Nikki, who I liaised with throughout the process, was empathic and approachable. She is truly a credit to the company. Additionally, the funeral parlour itself in Downham Market is utterly beautiful, and going there for appointments with Nikki was always a pleasant occasion. Nikki has a gift at making people feel welcome and listened to.

I only have two small critiques which have sadly made an otherwise excellent service at times frustrating. Please note that these critiques relate to organisational and administrative aspects of the business, and are not a reflection on individual staff.

Firstly designing the service booklets proved to be very tedious. I originally brought in a service booklet design I wished to be copied very closely, based on my mother's funeral the year prior. When the first draft was presented to me for my fafher's service booklet, it looked nothing alike, and was full of grammatical and punctuation errors. I found this to be sloppy, and showed a lack of care an attention to detail. This proved tedious to correct, resulting in reaching draft seven until everything was correct. I sincerely feel that some additional training may be required for in-house staff who proofread the service booklets, particularly as this service carries a charge.

Secondly, I sincerely believe the invoicing process needs work in order to reduce unnecessary stress; Presenting an invoice suddenly with three days to pay under threat of the service being cancelled is completely unacceptable, particularly when the details of the funeral had been arranged for weeks, and it can take up to a week for banks to release funds from the deceased's account. I strongly feel that this issue could be avoided entirely by arranging invoices much sooner, to give the grieving family more notice of how much needs to be paid and when.

Things were pretty well handled and they helped where they could as much as they could as this was my first time having to go through this process. Really the only downfall is that I was told three different prices. The first online one did not include the crematorium fee's, the second was higher than the actual price. The third one was between the two prices I had been told.

The reason I went with them was because they were a fair bit cheaper for the same package as another local funeral director but it turns out the other one was an all in price, so they work out about the same.

Excellent service from start to finish, professional, reliable very respectful of our loved one. The  staff are lovely, but I liked how one member guides you through the whole process, so you just deal with that person.
