We interacted with two people at Stibbards,Martin,himself a Stibbard and Karen who dealt with customers at the Shoeburyness funeral home. Both were extremely sympathetic, compassionate and very professional. We were very impressed that Martin was able to visit our home on the day that I contacted them as my mother is very elderly and not particularly mobile.

The business has been in the Stibbards family for generations and one got the impression that the outstanding service was because the firm is independent and very experienced.However,it is also very much a twenty first century organisation and the experience with the website,donations and streaming was also very good.

Stibbards was recommended to us by more than one friend,we did not chance upon them with a google search. We will require funeral directors in the Southend area at some point in the future and most certainly will use them again. We felt that they went the extra mile with respect to advice and our requests. For example,at short notice, i.e.at the point that the hearse arrived at our home,Martin suggested and was able to organise streaming at the chapel, because my sister had fallen ill at the last minute and was unable to attend our father's service.

The whole service on Wednesday was beautiful & immaculate from beginning to end, just like my Dad’s funeral 7 years ago (which you also did) & was delivered with professionalism, respect and dignity.

My family and I could not have been more pleased with the way Stibbards looked after our Mum, 
From the first meeting I had with Karen throughout the whole process, including Scott who directed Mums transfer from the funeral home to the service. 
This is the first time I’ve had to arrange a funeral and it was stress free as far as the organisation was concerned.
Hats off to all at Stibbards , and a special mention for Laura Manvell who took the service, even calling to ask if there was a particular colour dress we’d like her to wear . 
You made what could have been a very distressing day ,into a celebration of my Mums life.

Wendy and the team at Hadleigh have been absolutely wonderful over the past few weeks. Wendy went out of her way to ensure I felt comfortable and informed of my options. The funeral service was lovely as well. Everyone who attended said that it was lovely.

The head attendant was very attentive and well spoken (apologies for not remembering his name). All attendants were immaculately presented.

All the above meant we had nothing else to worry about on what was a difficult but also uplifting day.

The level of service given by Stibbards was exceptional. Lauren was extremely understanding and helpful throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She made the process that little bit more bearable.
The gentleman who came to the house, the morning that dad passed, he was so kind and explained everything in a way that wasn't overwhelming. We would like to thank him for being so helpful and understanding. Unfortunately, none of us can remember his name as we were all in shock.
On the day of dad's funeral, Colin was the one who coordinated everyone, made sure we got to the crematorium on time and he explained what was happening at every step. This made the day so much easier for us.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the team at Stibbards for taking such good care of dad and of us. It made the whole painful situation much easier to get through.

We used Stibbards & Sons Hockley twice now, first time was seven years ago for our mum.  The care given to our mum was outstanding, so when the time came that we needed this service fro our dad there was never a thought of going anywhere else.
Again we had outstanding service for our dad. there was support every step of the way to the service.  
On the day of his funeral there was care, support, professionalism, and courteous to us all.
We couldn't ask for a more fitting send off for our dad.
