What Families Say

AI Summary

Many families emphasize the personal care and attention they received throughout the arrangement process and funeral day itself, with particular mention of how funeral directors took time to understand their loved one and what mattered to the family, making difficult decisions feel less overwhelming.

Several describe how accessible and responsive their funeral director remained, whether answering questions by phone, email or in person, and how this regular contact and availability provided reassurance during a time when many felt disoriented or struggling to think clearly.

A number of reviews note the balance families appreciated between professional competence and a warm, approachable manner—the sense that staff cared genuinely about getting details right while also treating them with kindness rather than as transactions.

Jackson family funeral directors were very professional yet approachable and kind in our darkest hours.

Rachele has been an absolute star.  Her help and advice has been a godsend to us as a family, when faced with sudden death of our father.  Right from our first meeting it was clear Rachele was good at her job.

Not only is she good, but she has a passion for helping families deal with what must be one of their difficult challenges.  On the day of the funeral Rachele "owned" everything for us, so none of us needed to worry about a thing.

It is fair to say, that as a family we had we had the most amazing piece of good fortune to end up with Rachele as our funeral director.

  • 5 Sam Fuller 25th Jul 2026

Was very nice and peaceful service. Eveyone said how lovely the Jacksons team had been making a hard day a little easier and comforting.
Very thoughtful and delicate throughout whole process

It's not every day you come into contact with funeral directors, infact its mostly due to what is classed as a familie's most vulnerable, upsetting and disoreintating time be a passing expected or unexpected.

The mixture of how members of each family deal with a death, emotions, pragmatism , denial, fright or flight etc can only be described as a nightmare to get a answer about anything, let alone dealing with the final journey that a wife, husband, father, mother, brother or sister makes.

I manage sales teams with varying personalities and deal with clients from the very the top to entry level; mastering the art of being professional , understanding personalities and dealing with people accordingly, providing a service, thinking on your feet, providing structure all underpinned with a natural approach and a natural personality is like finding the rare diamond.

Rachele Watson is that rare diamond.

She has this inate ability to quite simply smash it out the park!

Rachele can, with ease and confidence, asses the environment very quickly, understand the emotional and logical state of each member of the family. She can simultaneously offer that shoulder for one to cry on whilst providing structure and process to those seeking it.

To walk into an environment where one is essentially removing/ bringing a loved one away into their care is a delicate emotional matter. Rachele carries this out with the utmost respect for the individual, as if it was her own family member, the tempo, approach, care and duty, calmness teamed with an assurance and purpose in what she is doing results in a safe secure pair of hands that will lead your family member onto their final journey and remove the worry and fear of the unknown immediately.

As with all "tabu" subjects and we being terribly British as a nation about things, preparing funeral services and making choices etc could become quite tricky HOWEVER due to Rachele's natural flair with connecting to people, the warmth, understanding, the genuine intreage and want to learn about the family member blended with a conversational style that allows questions to be asked and answered in a mixture of direct and flowing conversation that suits and meets the state of those she is sitting with makes it a pleasure, an actual pleaure to do.

She is so knowledgeable about each location, due to her natural flair she offers ideas that meet the needs that we as family members didn't even think of let alone knew we needed!

The approach of factual, emotional, humorous, pausing for thoughts, is a magical blend that allows a beautiful service for us at the end for our loved one and the family.

I have 2 young children one of whom is neuro diverse which meant due to the type of service we had selected numbers were tight. Well not an issue!! Not only was it evident that she has very strong working relationships with the staff at the sites, but they also share the mutual respect for her.

We got in at a time and day that otherwise was unavailable, we got the numbers we wanted and my two children,3 and 6 years old, were cared for and looked after by Rachele and Andrew. A plan she approached me with after reading between the lines.

I have been to may funerals and the way in which Jacksons present themselves, the respect from taking a loved one in their care to their last bow , which I may add is the deepest bow you have seen and held longer than most, it's a real touch of true respect.

We all come into this world a leave it. We don't have a choice of how we arrive, but we can have the choice of how we leave. The whole process is what those left behind remember, it's how the chapter is drawn and leans heavily on how a family move forward. It was a pleasure, it was perfect, it was beautiful, all and only because of how Rachele Watson delivered her service.

She is a credit to Jackson's funerals and is that rare diamond. To have her shine so brilliantly at a family's darkest time is well like del boy and Rodney auctioning the watch! (Dad loved only fools and horses)

    Absolutely blown away.
Coming from Northern Ireland , to organise a funeral for my aunt , I was nervous to say the least.  Possibly expecting a “ cold “ send off.  Coming across Jackson Funeral Service , and indeed the  professional that is Rachele Watson, was the best stroke of luck I’ve had in a while.    Absolutely nothing was too much trouble , and she went well beyond the call of duty on several occasions to make sure we were kept at ease at all times in the lead up to the funeral. The funeral itself was carried out with the upmost respect and professionalism.  From the impeccable turnout of staff and hearse , to the friendly and helpful manner that guided us through the event. Every detail was talked about beforehand. This review does not do justice , and  could easily be as essay full of praise !
I cannot speak highly enough of this firm.

Excellent service from start to finish. Thank you

  • 5 Steve Blakey 16th Jul 2026

Twice in just over a year we have had to call upon Jackson’s to help us with a family funeral.
On both occasions they have been excellent. Total respect and reliability. Professional. Smart.
No one wants to have to call on the services of a funeral company but when you need to you really benefit if you choose the best. Amie and her team are the best.

  • 5 Linda Davey 7th Jul 2026

From the very first visit of Amie to my home to saying the final goodbye to my husband at the funeral ceremony, my family and I were treated with the utmost kindness and respect. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful Witness Direct Funeral.

An excellent service from initial phone call to the actual service. I would highly recommend this firm. Very caring, supportive and empathetic.

  • 5 Elaine Chamings 15th Jun 2026

Words cannot convey the care and dedication that went into arranging Richard’s funeral. Rachele has such empathy and a solution for every problem, nothing is too much trouble. We are so grateful for her kindness and support.

  • 5 Michael Hardyman 4th Jun 2026

Jacksons were very supportive at a difficult time for the family. Amie was very patient and helpful going over the options open to us and enabled us to arrange a wonderful Service at the Vale. All the little details that helped to make it special were arranged by her and the rest of the Jacksons team. Thank you so much.

  • 5 Sarah Penny 2nd Jun 2026

We chose Amie at Jackson’s for Dad’s as she had supported us with Mum’s funeral 4 years before, and it was definitely the right choice. Amie helped us to deliver the funeral that Dad would have wanted; a beautiful tribute to his life. Amie always showed her care and compassion, and was always available and responsive to questions and queries. She also arranged our celebrant, Anne, who worked tirelessly with us to get it just right. I couldn’t recommend Jackson’s enough. And Amie in particular. Nothing was to much trouble, and during a really painful and difficult time, Amie was with us every step of the way.

  • 5 David Weaver 26th May 2026

The service we received from Rachele at Jackson’s family funeral directors was excellent during the process of arranging mum's funeral. She was sympathetic, considerate and helpful in all our dealings with her. She kept in touch with us regularly whilst waiting for mum's service to take place and we knew we could contact her at any time if we had questions. On the day of mum's service the staff were all courteous and professional.

  • 5 Shirley King 23rd May 2026

I met Amie at Jackson Family Funeral Directors, Malvern after the sudden death of a family friend for whom I had LPoA. I had a half completed Funeral Plan and the need to arrange a collaborative and inclusive, across 3 continents, respectful and dignified funeral within 2 weeks, as we had a long holiday booked.
Amie was beyond helpful; everything including live streaming services, Independent Celebrant choice, floral arrangements, was absolutely professional and top quality.
Thanks to Amie and her team my family friend received a very special final farewell. The relatives in both Canada and S. Africa were full of praise and said it was "perfect".
I would not hesitate to recommend Jackson Family Funerals Malvern.

  • 5 Andrew Cook 27th Apr 2026

Rachel couldn’t have done more to make the whole experience as smooth and easy as possible. Everything was simplified and made easy. The lead up and the planning did not feel heavy thanks to the support and help from everyone at Jacksons and Rachel was always at the end of the phone to help when needed

The day itself went perfectly as planned and was a beautiful service, everyone did their job impeccably.

    Would absolutely 100% recommend.

  • 5 Nicola Turner 24th Apr 2026

From the first phone call to Jacksons to the final saying goodbye to Ray, the service we received was excellent. Rachele, our funeral director, was very supportive at the sad loss of a much loved partner and Dad, nothing was too much trouble.  Rachele was always on the end of a email or phone call if needed.
We were listened too and had a funeral service which we wanted to have.
Thank you from all of Ray’s family.

  • 5 Mike Burden 24th Mar 2026

Absolutely fantastic service from Rachele and Michele ( celebrant) and the crew at Malvern. So very helpful at an immensely difficult time for someone taken suddenly and way too soon. They led me and my boys through the process at our pace, and were there 24/7. All traditional processes carried out; she paiged, we carried the coffin, and utter respect to both the deceased and us. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

  • 5 Paul Hooper 13th Mar 2026

The service provided was excellent from start to finish. Professional but friendly and approachable. Very accommodating of every request, including fitting in with our schedule. Organisation was fantastic. At all times we were allowed to make informed choices with no judgement or pressure. It felt as if every member of the team that I dealt with cared about the service they were providing. Thank you each and every one of you!
