Having to choose a funeral director in an area that is unknown to you can lead to a very hit and miss choice. After reading reviews for the local directors, our choice was made simply by looking at previous reviews. I have to say that I am sure that we couldn't have made a better one. From my very first phone call, Simon and Robert couldn't have been more caring and they sorted everything with minimal fuss which was very important during the stressful time of dealing with our mother's death. The day of the funeral was dealt with very respectfully and the team couldn't have been more helpful. I am so glad that we chose Crescent Funeral Services and would highly recommend them. James in particular was reliable, understanding and most importantly kind. He took each step with me and ensured I was comfortable and supported through everything. I couldn’t have asked for any one or company to have done anymore for me and my family.  They recommended and helped me with every detail; flowers, crematorium, wake venue and travel services. Thank you so much, this process could have been really distressing but it was so reassuring to have someone with me every step of the way.

Amazing trustworthy and professional funeral directors with a wealth of knowledge and nothing is too big for them to achieve. Have very quickly adapted to these new and unprecedented times of global pandemic and this has not caused the funeral of a loved one to suffer. Despite what is going on around the world and the global lockdown they still manage to give you that bespoke service as if you are their only client. They think of things and ideas you may not have thought of or discussed as a family and also during this period of lockdown despite restrictions being in place and maybe the ability to do everything u want to but cannot due to the government changes, they give you perfect alternatives in line with what you wanted to do initially. I cannot thank them enough and not can I praise Simon, Robert and the rest of their team for their family centred approach, where you are not just a number, or a cog in a wheel but each client is treated individually and made to feel like you are their best friend, their family but more importantly, you know that your loved one with them is in safe hands, safe, professional hands. Their commitment to their line of work is palpable and without this personal touch, these things would be made harder for the family to cope with. Thank you so much you were all amazing

We first visited Crescent, and met Simon, when we knew we would need the services of a funeral director due to a life limiting diagnosis for our parent. We wanted to be sure we chose the most suitable service for us. Our priorities were to find a local, independent business that we felt comfortable with. Crescent met all of our best hopes and more.

The environment is fresh and modern, light and bright. It is stylish and clean, and feels very comfortable and welcoming. Whilst we mainly worked with Simon, Robert and James also played an important part in looking after Mum and the family. From weekend calls working out urn delivery, to recommending a celebrant, to dealing with some complicated (to us!) travel arrangements, to supporting and welcoming attendees at the service, I cannot fault the service we received.

Whilst I did meet with other services in Taunton before finalising our choice, and found all the people I met to be helpful, there was such a warmth and sense of welcome at Crescent. Mum would have enjoyed meeting the Crescent trio, and would have appreciated the decor and standards of service. I know she would also have been pleased to support a business that invests in apprenticeships as Crescent has done.

I would not hesitate to recommend Crescent to friends and family should the sad need arise.

Robert is a very understanding warm hearted man and made us feel at ease throughout the process or arranging everything for our fathers cremation. He made it all very clear and it was very simple and organised which made things easier for us in a time when it's hard to do things. Thank you Robert once again.
