The cost of a funeral depends on where you are in the UK and whether you choose a burial or a cremation. Natural burial is becoming increasingly popular, but can often be more expensive than burial in a traditional cemetery. The cost of coffins, flowers, catering and transport also varies a lot. There is also an almost unlimited list of options for personalising a service, such as professional funeral singers or a motorcycle-hearse. Very professional, lovely staff.Nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommend this company
Gartons have organised the funerals for both our parents 5 years apart. As a Church of England priest I have worked with this industry for over 35 years and I would like to pay tribute to Gartons for their professionalism and effectiveness in dealing with our Father's death in December 2020 at the peak of the 2020 COVID pandemic. Options were of course limited but they managed to ensure that our wishes were all taken care of and everyone was hugely impressed. The invoice at the end of the process was extremely reasonable, all costs were visible and there were no surprises. Thank you.
We have used Gartons since 1980 when we first lost my Dad. Over the years I’ve lost my sister & niece, aunties, uncles & mum and through all of this, I cannot fault their service and compassion and would not look to use any other funeral directors.
Garton’s Funeral Directors did such a wonderful job in helping and advising my family with such an upsetting moment in our lives. They were thoughtful, caring and very patient with my family when helping us plan a service that was perfect for my dad. A huge thank you to everyone and in particular to Lee, who made every special moment and stage of grief much easier for us to cope with, individually and as a family. Garton’s helped us make a perfect farewell memory of my dad. I will always be grateful for their wonderful service leading up to the funeral and afterwards.
M Garton and Son is a very professional funeral director and provides an excellent all round service at a time of loss with great sensitivity and compassion. I would not hesitate in recommending them.
