All the staff at Susan Whymark were very professional, efficient and understanding. They took care of everything and nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated their advice which meant that we could carry out most of our mother's wishes despite the Covid 19 restrictions. Even with the restrictions we felt everything was carried out with great respect and dignity and our mother's funeral service was a very personal and comforting experience for us all. Thank you all for such an excellent service at such a difficult time.

My father died during the COVID-19 lockdown, which did not makes things easy, but they were caring, understanding, practical and flexible about all the arrangements. We needed the services of Susan Whymark following the death of my father in May. I was worried about how this could be arranged as I live a long way from Norfolk and other family members were unable to travel or meet during the coronavirus lockdown. With the support of Mandy, we decided the safest option would be an unattended cremation.

Initially I felt quite distraught at the prospect of my beloved Dad going to the crematorium unaccompanied by any of his family, until my sister reminded me that Susan would be going with him and she was sure he would have been happy with that.

Susan Whymark directed funeral services for my mother and sister in 2010 and 2017, and I felt completely confident that my Dad’s last journey would be handled with the same level of dignity and respect, combined with the kindness and good humour we had experienced in the past.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their services.

The service we received was professional and efficient, but more importantly it was caring, compassionate, understanding and personal and we felt as if we were the only family that Susan and her staff were looking after and they have continued to support us afterwards as well which is very comforting. Nothing was too much trouble, we were kept informed of our options at every step and these were very different from normal when arranging a funeral during Covid restrictions. During a very strange time and a very emotional time, Susan enabled us to fulfil our dads wishes for his final goodbye. Susan made it very special for us and my dad would have been proud. Susan arranged our Mums funeral some years ago and my dad was very clear that he would have no-one else looking after him on his final journey. Susan and her team are very special people who work hard to make such difficult and emotional times for people bearable and because they are not tied to a big corporate company they are able to provide a very personal service

Susan Whymark was incredible.  Actually she wasn't my first choice.  The first funeral home I spoke to was Rosedale's but It soon became apparent that they were going to make a very unpleasant chore, unbearable.  So I turned to Susan in desperation.  And I'm so glad I did.  She was kind, considerate and incredibly helpful.  The funeral I planned with Susan didn't take place as we'd hoped because of covid-19 but still it was the best it could be in the circumstances.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Susan Whymark.  I had no idea what was involved in arranging a funeral and I'm just so grateful I had Susan in my corner to help me through the process.

This was the second time I have used Susan for family funeral arrangements, I can only say that the service provided by Susan and her team was exemplary, attention to detail, communications and arrangements with the various official parties were all taken care of taking much of the stress and strain of my shoulders. They keep you informed every step of the way and give you all the information that is needed to give your loved ones the send off they deserve.
