So what happens when you travel 13,000 miles to see your Mum and she passes away 4 days after you arrive......Mum had waited until I arrived but still I was devastated and not looking forward to planning her final farewell however after a recommendation from the hospital we found Shayne Stork and Helena and how very lucky we were. From the moment we contacted Shayne, nothing was too much trouble. On arrival at Shayne Stork family funerals we were met by Helena who not only walked us through the 'paperwork' but also cared for and looked after mum up until the funeral. I can not express enough the compassion, empathy,care and such kindness these two people gave to us during this very sad time. They were available round the clock, when and if we needed them. They held our hands throughout with true professionalism yet we feel we have gained two very special people in our lives.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for looking after Mum and us so well.

Words cannot begin to describe how well we were looked after by Shayne and Helena. From the initial phone call to the service and collection of my late Mother in Law's ashes we were treated with care, compassion and kindness.

Having only arrived from Australia a few days before she passed away we were given every assistance in all aspects of the arrangements to ensure that we could give her a fitting send off within a very limited time scale.

Helena took us through the process step by step, treated us like long lost family and took all of the pressure off us at such a difficult time.
No request was too difficult and she made us feel that nothing was out of the question. Helena is a huge asset to the company and has such a caring nature. We can't thank her enough for her kindness and appreciation of our situation.

Shayne is the consummate professional and he is totally focused on ensuring that his clients are taken care of and that every step of the process is handled with dignity and respect. We cannot praise him highly enough.

Review for Shayne stork family funeral services for the wonderful service we was given for our beloved friend Simon. Simon passed away suddenly. As Simon had no next of kin named or family willing to arrange his funeral, my son being Simons best friend and another best friend of Si decided they was going to deal with Simons arrangements as they wanted more than a paupers funeral for their friend and Si deserved so much more than that too. We was absolutely shocked to learn that paupers funerals still existed. We learnt that Simon would just be handed over to George Bush part of the cooperative group funeral service. Simon then would have just been taken along to an unmarked grave placed in the ground to share with as many as 8 other people. I myself wanted to try and help my son as much as I could and because Cameron is only 22 I started looking in to helping to arrange a proper funeral. As we was told Simon would be released in to the care of George Bush funeral home I thought it would make sense to maybe arrange Simons funeral with them. I walked in to George Bush funeral home quite tearful as I was talking about Simon but left there in absolute floods of tears. I was told by the lady in there that unless I had 3400 to pay for Simons funeral they couldn't help me. I then went on to ask if there was any way we could come to an agreement to pay a monthly direct debit to cover the costs and was blantenly told no and maybe I should just let Simon have the paupers funeral if I wasn't able to cover the costs in one payment. I walked out of George Bush feeling absolutely down trodden but still thinking there must be more we can do. I went home that evening and got on the Internet and googled anything I could think of to try and get costs down. In the end I resorted to googling funerals on finance which came up with nothing. Then as I scrolled the page to the bottom there was Shayne stork funeral services 😀. I almost feel now like my guardian angel led me to find him as from the first phone call with the wonderful amazing, caring Helena I was assured to worry no more as Shayne the amazing man he is too would do everything the could to help us give Simon the send off he deserved. Shayne and Helena truely went above and beyond everything they could do to help Cameron, cookie and myself feel better about the awful situation we was facing. I was having trouble with the coroner as we wasn't Simons family but Helena went out of her way to make the important phone calls for me and sort everything out so I wasn't getting more stressed out. Not once was I asked for money they let me tell my situation they then helped us plan Simons send off and then discussed the plans for a payment plan. I can honestly say I've never met 2 more caring genuine people than Shayne and Helena. They truely do go out of their ways for you and your needs. Cameron wanted to go spend time with Simon one last time and Shayne and Helena went out of their time off on a Saturday evening to make sure Cameron could do this, he wasn't rushed he was given as time as he needed, Shayne even went to shop to get Cameron a marker pen so he could write a few words on Simons coffin. Shayne also could see Cameron was upset and after Cameron had finished talking to Simon Shayne took him home as he didn't want Cameron to travel on the bus being upset. The word Thank you really isn't enough for what Shayne and Helena have done for us but with the biggest thank u ever you guys are amazing and true angels from Bernadette Cameron and cookie xx

We just wanted to say a big thank you for all your care and support during the sad loss of our Dad. The funeral was exactly as he would have wanted it to be, you only get one chance at this and you made sure everything went smoothly.
You are a very approachable and caring man and made things so much easier. We would have no hesitation in recommending your services, you are most certainly a first class funeral director doing a first class job.
