From the very start to the very end Bournes were professional, had empathy and so much respect for my late Dad and all the family. They thought of every little detail, but all very quietly without being intrusive. I can not recommend or thank them enough.

Everything about the funeral was perfect pristine cars and bearers. It all ran smoothly and to plan. Ben  ensured that all ran to schedule. Would definitely recommend to friends.

This is the second time we have, as a family, used Bournes and could not recommend them enough. They not only made sure the day went as smoothly as possible they went one step further, embracing the pink theme of the funeral and offering so much support in the lead up to the day. As a company they really do care and respect the deceased and the family that are left behind and it makes a terrible time that little bit easier to deal with.
5 stars doesn’t really say how good they are as a company.

I would highly recommend Bournes Funeral services, Ben and all the staff was outstanding, they looked after my mum so well after she passed away, the staff made sure everything was done to every little detail with what we wanted , they were so kind , professional, couldn’t have wished for a better company, nothing was to much trouble for them. Also wanted to mention Jenny hall for doing my mum’s service, she also was first class so kind & thoughtful in a difficult time. Once again have to thank Bournes again for her services.

I found the staff of Bournes courteous and Kind especially Ben. The vicar made fundamental mistakes in his delivery at the service but not Bournes fault. My issue is I ordered 75 service sheets but only ended up with 25 which I was not aware of on the day. I had been hopeful as retired navy people came from all over the country came to honour my dad those that could would have logged into Bournes obituary website which they would have found via the service sheet. But now I am in the position of needing to send these service sheets to people all over the country to people whose addresses I do not know. I was hopeful if they had known anything about it they may if they could have supported We Remember Submariners

We were introduced to Ben via friends who had recently suffered a bereavement and could not speak highly enough of the support they received. I was sceptical when I first met Ben as he seemed really young. I could not have been more wrong. His ability to handle a difficult situation was impeccable, the way he dealt with my mum was a real insight into someone that knows how to get on the wavelength of their audience.
He made a number of suggestions in our meeting, committed to numerous actions and I would say delivered or over delivered on every single one of them. The attention to detail was first rate and whilst it is not something as a family you want to go through all the time, when it happens again I know who to call. Minor details like, "what colour ties do you want us to wear?" really gives you an insight into the thought process they follow. When Ben wasn't available Catherine and others in the back office team took control and I never once felt in a situation where I didn't know what was happening or how to progress something.
When at the last minute my sister decided that it would be good to take the large family piece back to mum's Ben arranged for the florist to come to the crematorium and collect as it would have been too large for a domestic car.
I could not recommend the team more, the last three weeks have been awful but the support and assistance from Ben and his team at least made a difficult situation easier to navigate with their kindness, thought and willingness to take away all the unnecessary minutiae where they could.

if I had been looking for a fault I would not have found one. Everything went so well ,the casket had been decorated so good .
Funerals are not nice but everyone was saying it was the best they had been to.
My wife Veronica had a good send off.

Hayley and Ben went above and beyond to help the family when needed and to look after our mum Barbara.
There was a high level of communication all the way through and such a high standard of care.
Both of them were only a phone call or email away.
I could not recommend Bournes enough.

Having used Bournes only 10 weeks earlier for my mother’s funeral we knew of their high standards and attention to detail. We were not disappointed with Ben and his team providing another excellent service together with Robin as celebrant.
