We returned to John Weir following the loss of our Nan, having previously used their services for our Dad and being so impressed with the care and support we received then.

The team at the Gillingham branch, and particularly Deana, were incredibly supportive throughout.  From the moment they collected our loved one, through to the funeral and the aftercare following the cremation, they made an incredibly difficult process feel as simple and manageable as possible.

Every step was explained clearly, and there was regular contact, reassurance and support throughout.  Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we always felt that Nan was being cared for with the utmost dignity and respect. 

On the day of the funeral, Kevin’s support was incredible. He talked us through each stage, made sure everything was in order and provided such calm reassurance at a time when we were understandably very emotional.

I cannot thank the whole team enough for the kindness, compassion and professionalism they showed to Nan and to our family.  They made an incredibly difficult time that little bit easier, and I would have no hesitation in recommending John Weir to anyone needing their services.

An amazing company. The staff of John Weir do this company justice.
After the passing of my mum, I helped my dad look around at different funeral directors to get quotes as well as sitting down with them and explaining to them what we'd like for the funeral and the staff we spoke to at John Weir in particular came across as warm and understand where other places felt cold and robotic. We entrusted our beloved to them and they took the upmost care in looking after her and showing her the respect she deserved. They went through everything clearly and as detailed as they could. They did everything we asked for and more. I would 100% recommend John Weir to anyone who sadly lost a loved one. The customer service was top notch, the person who helped us had years of experience and showed that her compassion never wavered and respected every client that walked through their doors. A true ray of sunshine, even when folks going through darker days, she showed compassion and warmth and thats what was needed for me and my dad to set up a date to lay ny mum to rest. Even before we'd signed the contract she phoned up the local crematorium to reserve a date and time for us when we asked if she could, and she made it happen. 5 out of 5 Star Service overall.

From the very beginning, Deana made the entire booking and planning process seamless. She was warm, kind, and wonderfully sympathetic while maintaining complete professionalism, taking away so much of the stress and making everything feel manageable.

Our celebrant, Kathryn, was simply exceptional. She created a service that was deeply personal and truly centred around our Dad and our family. Kathryn captured his essence perfectly and brought our fondest memories of him to life with such grace and care—we couldn't have asked for a better tribute.

Thank you to Deana, Kathryn, and the entire team for guiding us through with such compassion and perfection. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of care and guidance.

Excellent service all round. Everything was conducted in a thoroughly professional manner. Deana in the office made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible, including the production of the Order of Service for the Requiem Mass. The drivers and staff on the day were excellent and did everything to ensure that a difficult day was made as comfortable as possible.

John weir went over and above to support us.  All the little, important things that meant the world to us, John weir endeavoured to do. They went back over records from years ago to ensure my father’s funeral was similar to his siblings.  They spoke to me frequently and on the day, everything went better than expected. We have used John Weir funeral directors for all of our family funerals spanning a time period of 30+ years. Their attention to detail is second to none.
In the case of my mother's funeral, Deana at the Gillingham office was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and her kindness and compassion made a very difficult time easier to manage. On the day of the funeral, Shane and his team were wonderful. They carried out their duties with a quiet, dignified professionalism helping to make the day of the funeral run as smoothly as possible.

John Weir Gillingham arranged the funerals of both my parents. Service was excellent, they even went as far as to arrange the vehicles registrations to avoid unlucky numbers. They catered for our needs and were very supportive and understanding. I would very highly recommend them to anyone.
