The caring team at S Stibbards & Sons understand that contacting a funeral director can seem daunting, but they are there to listen, reassure and support families at this very difficult time.

As a funeral home with family values at its heart, its focus is upon providing compassionate funeral care to families in Hadleigh and the surrounding area, at whatever time of day or night it is needed.

S Stibbards & Sons’ Hadleigh funeral home provides a calm and tranquil atmosphere in which to make funeral arrangements. It has a private chapel of rest where families can spend precious time with their loved one, reassured that their funeral wishes are administered to. Should you prefer support in more familiar surroundings, a home visit can be arranged with a member of this caring funeral home.

Whether families prefer a full traditional funeral service, or a quiet farewell tailored to their needs, funeral director Martin Stibbards and his experienced staff aim to ensure that the arrangements fulfil every family’s wishes.

Stibbards offers a fleet of modern Jaguar hearses and limousines to ensure families and their loved one will travel in comfort, driven by their professional staff. Funerals can also be tailored with a traditional horse-drawn hearse, or vintage vehicles.

The Hadleigh funeral home is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and independent funeral homes association, SAIF and meets the high standards set by both.

It offers Golden Charter funeral plans to those who are considering the future, while as part of its support for families, it offers in-house bereavement counselling.

    Stibbards and all the staff I dealt with were kind, courteous, professional and efficient at a time when I was deeply saddened. They were also calming and helpful in decision making when I was really not able to focus.

    From start to finish, Stibbards were wonderful to us when our mother died at home. From collecting her body to collecting her ashes they were professional, compassionate and made sure the whole process was dignified. A special mention to Maria who directed both my dad and brother in laws funerals as well as my mother’s. She was exemplary. She and the rest of Stibbards’ staff made what was a very emotional day seem just that little bit easier. Thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for a funeral directors.

    This is a very professional company. During a very difficult time in our lives Stibbards were outstanding. Every staff member was respectful, patient and very kind and helpful. The attention to detail meant mums funeral ran smoothly. A special thanks goes to Rebecca and Scott. As it was a celebration of mums life she wanted colour,  not black. The attendants looked wonderful in their different coloured ties and bought a smile to my face. Thank you all so very much.

    We met Lauren on our initial visit at Hadleigh and subsequently dealt with Leo, both of whom were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was handled with compassion and understanding.
    On the day of the funeral our Conductor Stuart and the team were professional and helped a very difficult day run smoothly. 
    We would like to thank everyone at Stibbards for their help and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

    From the moment Scott came to pick Dad up we were treated with the upmost compassion, like we were family. Lauren and David helped us make a hard day a little easier.
    All the staff we had the pleasure of meeting were professional but showed so much compassion.

    The service the family received went above and beyond, with you checking when I had trouble getting the death certificate, to the respect you gave my mother on the day of her funeral. You have been my family's funeral directors since my grandfather died in 1977 and I would not use any other.
