We thought that everything was perfect. Fiona was unbelievably kind and helped us through a really difficult time, Steve was wonderful taking a lot of time to find out about our dad and delivering a wonderful and thoughtful eulogy for my dad. I had used Spondon Lymn`s on a previous occasion the year before when my Dad passed away.This was dealt with by Fiona Hall .From start to finish with regards to my dad were way beyond excellent and when my darling son was tragically killed following a car crash I didn`t hestitate for one second as to who I would entrust to look after him ..
Fiona is the most professional ,sincere and friendly people I have the pleasure to know ,she was most sincere and sympathetic to what was an horrendous situation .This is the hardest thing in my entire life ,yet without Fiona we wouldn`t have been able to give Andrew the amazing send off he received ,even down to her arranging our custom made coffin for his friends to sign .
She lovingly cared for him and stayed right to the end riding the Hyabusa which delivered him to his final resting place aided by Matthew Lymn Rose .She even handled the huge biker escorts without batting an eyelid and everything went to plan perfectly .
I love her dearly and couldn`t have got through this without her help xx
Formerly an Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service branch, this home was incorporated by the A W Lymn group in 2003, and then moved next door to a refurbished premises in 2009 and given the title Barton House.
The premises offer a large reception area, two visiting rooms, a private arranging office and there is off-street parking available.
Kevin Hall is the area manager and the office is run by funeral director Fiona Hall.
The office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but an appointment can be scheduled by calling at any time day or night, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Spondon and its surrounding area including Alvaston, Borrowash, Chaddesden, Draycott, Elvaston, Oakwood, Ockbrook, Risley and beyond.
A W Lymn is a family owned business since its establishment in 1907 and is currently owned by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose.

Fiona and Kevin made sure everyone feelings were catered for, we were well informed what to expect and everything went well.timing was spot on and no one felt rushed,they even arranged for a vicar of our choice to officiate the service.
Well done and thank you everyone Dad would have been so proud.
I will be in touch regarding a prepaid funeral plan for myself at some point

A.W. Lymn, Spondon are wonderful at helping/ putting together a funeral. They were supportive, helpful & attentive. They were good at keeping on touch so I knew what was happening, nothing was any trouble for them. On the day they blended in with the family, supporting us right up to the end, making the day run smoothly. Lovely staff! Highly recommend.

I cannot thank you all enough for your warmth and care in this sad time. Fiona is so caring , I felt like I was part of a family. This is how warm and caring you all are. Thankyou for sending my mum on her way. I have shed many a tear of sadness but through your care and warmth you have helped me see joy and celebration.

A big thank you to all but especially Fiona Hall who supported and guided us all the way from the first time we met. Having never had to organise a funeral i can honestly say without her i don't know how we would have managed. She was so professional and yet we felt she gave such a personal touch. Nothing was ever too much trouble and provided answers for us straight away. She was so supportive when we went to visit dad in the chapel of rest and he was presented so perfect and looked peaceful. Everything was taken care of on the day of the funeral and a big thank you to Kevin Hall and his team for their professionalism. I know this was an upsetting time in our lives but we would truly recommend their services to anyone.

This is the fourth time we have used Lymns, as we know their services are excellent. Attention to detail is first class and their care, not only for our loved ones but for the family as well, is faultless. We experienced kindness, warmth and professionalism from all the staff we met, and particularly from Derek and Fiona at the Spondon branch.
