On the day itself, the drivers were superb: friendly, precise with their timing.

Formerly an Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service branch, this home was incorporated by the A W Lymn group in 2003, and then moved next door to a refurbished premises in 2009 and given the title Barton House.
The premises offer a large reception area, two visiting rooms, a private arranging office and there is off-street parking available.
Kevin Hall is the area manager and the office is run by funeral director Fiona Hall.
The office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but an appointment can be scheduled by calling at any time day or night, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Spondon and its surrounding area including Alvaston, Borrowash, Chaddesden, Draycott, Elvaston, Oakwood, Ockbrook, Risley and beyond.
A W Lymn is a family owned business since its establishment in 1907 and is currently owned by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the funeral before and afterwards. The service in the office was excellent and very efficient. The Funeral staff on the day were all very kind, caring and sympathetic and we really could not fault anything. Would certainly recommend your services to anyone else in the future.

From the very start I have been very happy with the service I received from Lymns .
During obviously an upsetting time for our family , we were helped by Fiona’s lovely manner and personality .
My family have always chosen Lymns and this has shown me why .

Fiona especially, was so warm and friendly. Everything, right down to the last detail was handled with care and dignity at our fragile time. All of our family would like to say how kind, thoughtful and professional you all were.
At such a sad and difficult time you all...(especially Fiona) made it all fall into place and run smoothly for us and you took a lot of the
pain away and guided us through not just a funeral but a life celebration of our mother who went away with dignity and love.

Everything about A W Lym was very professional and personal from start to finish. We would recommend them if anyone we knew needed these services. We have nothing negative to say about anything they did for us and felt like a weight was lifted when they organised everything, which went perfectly on the day !

After sadly loosing my wife at just 55 years old , Lymns funeral services made such a difficult time less stressful. From start to finish they were in good communication with the family and gave us outstanding service and my wife a lovely traditional send off .
