In loving memory of Josie Beck who sadly passed away on 15th April 2026, aged 89 years, with her family by her side. Josie is now at rest with her beloved husband Roger who were teenage sweethearts from the age of 16.

Josie was fully involved in her funeral arrangements towards the end of her life and asked. Josie’s favourite colour was purple and lilac and asked for the people attending her funeral (if possible) to wear a splash of purple of lilac.

It was agreed with Josie that it would be family flowers and any monies that would have been spent on floral tributes to be donated to Shardlow Manor Residential Home where Josie spent her last 18 months enjoying life with them.

There will be no wake following the service but monies have been donated to Shardlow Manor to provide afternoon tea and entertainment for residents and staff to celebrate Josie’s life.

As part of the reflection section of Josie’s funeral service we were hoping to collect from yourselves and read any memories, anicdotes or thoughts about Josie, if you could send these on to the family we would be grateful.

We look forward to welcoming you all to celebrate Josie’s life.

So many happy memories of times spent with Josie, both with and without Roger. From Deb's 21st birthday party at Pipworth Lane, nights at Bartlewood Lodge, parties at the Homestead and holidays in Spain with Sheila.
I hope Roger is in his tuxedo, Josie is wearing a long gown and you're both having a party up there.
Rest in Peace Josie, I'll miss you and I'll think of you next time I'm on the dance floor xx
