Formerly an Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service branch, this home was incorporated by the A W Lymn group in 2003, and then moved next door to a refurbished premises in 2009 and given the title Barton House.
The premises offer a large reception area, two visiting rooms, a private arranging office and there is off-street parking available.
Kevin Hall is the area manager and the office is run by funeral director Fiona Hall.
The office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but an appointment can be scheduled by calling at any time day or night, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Spondon and its surrounding area including Alvaston, Borrowash, Chaddesden, Draycott, Elvaston, Oakwood, Ockbrook, Risley and beyond.
A W Lymn is a family owned business since its establishment in 1907 and is currently owned by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose.

Fiona was amazing as was Kevin in helping me organise my husbands funeral, enabling me to give him the send off we wanted which was a tribute to his life, abs we had lots of comments saying as a funeral goes that was one of the nicest I’ve been to in a long time, Fiona did nothing of my parents funeral and I wouldn’t have entrusted my wonderful husband to anyone else that Fiona & Kevin and Lynms.
