Established in the 1950’s, the office was originally Oliver & Son Funeral Services but in 1994 the Beeson family sold the business to the A W Lymn group.
Set in a beautiful rural environment, this office has visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
Funeral directors Teresa Spencer and Gary Cooke are in charge of the funeral home and will be more than happy to help in person Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also schedule an appointment to be seen after hours if it is more convenient for you. To do so, please call the telephone number, which is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The office covers all of Ruddington and its surrounding areas including Bradmore, Bunny, Burton on the Wolds, Costock, East Leake, Hoton, Keyworth, Kingston upon Soar, Normanton on Soar, Normanton on the Wolds, Rempstone, Sileby, Stanton on the Wolds, Sutton Bonnington, West Leake, Widmerpool, Willoughby on the Wolds, Wysall and beyond.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose. Nigel is a former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).

I was extremely pleased with Teresa and the Team at Ruddington. 2nd time in 4 months first my Mum then my Dad. Teresa was very kind and sympathetic and nothing was too much trouble. Both services were conducted very well by Malcolm and everything went seamlessly and very well organised on the day(s). The service we received at a sad time was professional, courteous and friendly. All our contact with Edward was first class, nothing was too much trouble. Personally I appreciated his understanding of the music I required and the selection he made and his attentiveness at the actual funeral.
I would recommend Lymns without hesitation.

Lym’s took care of the funeral arrangements very well and with efficiency and compassion. They communicated with us regularly throughout and we felt confident in them before and on the day of the funeral.
They were very professional at all times, and put our minds at ease when we had so much to think about.

My mother insisted she wanted them to take care of her at the end.
She was right . They are highly competent, professional and empathetic - they took the burden off me and made the whole process run very smoothly.

The service received was excellent at this time of heartache. I was treated with kindness and compassion with nothing being too much trouble.
I was kept informed of the progress all the way to the funeral.
On the day everything went like clockwork and nothing had not been accounted for.
At such an emotional time it was a relief to be guided through the ceremony from start to finish.
