I have fond memories of our time working with Alex at Rare early in our careers. So sad to hear of his passing, condolences to everyone close to him, family and friends alike.

To say that Alex was a real character is not doing him justice at all. I worked with him at various times over the last 20+ years. He was one of the first "clever technical people" I remember speaking to when I started at Free Radical Design in the early 2000s. He seemed to have a natural talent for coding, to the point I was convinced he could do anything with a keyboard and Visual Studio. Above all though, he had a good soul, and I always enjoyed my conversations with him.
Sending my condolences to Nicola and his family. He has gone way, way too soon.

Very sorry to hear this news, I worked with Alex briefly in the early years of Dambuster and would frequently see him around Rushcliffe Country park whilst walking my dogs. Our paths crossed briefly again more recently whilst he was part of Free Radical Design (v2)
Alex was a much loved and respected colleague of many during his years at Free Radical Design, Crytek UK, Dambuster Studios and Free Radical Design (v2) Deepest condolences to Nicola and Alex's family from all at Dambuster Studios.

So sad to hear this news. Nicola and family, my deepest condolences.
We worked together back at Free Radical Design. Alex was extraordinarily gifted, and I still find myself telling stories about what he achieved there. When we caught up a couple of years ago in Nottingham, it was like old times. I'm very glad to have had that opportunity.
He'll be missed.
