Fortunately, I do not have to deal regularly with bereavement, but on the occasion of the recent death of my Mother we dealt with A.W.Lymn Ruddington. Professional, sympathetic and caring. All the arrangements for looking after my Mother from her home to her burial a few weeks later proceeded with the minimum of fuss and upset.
Thoroughly recommended, if that’s what one does with a Funeral Director.

Both Edward and Teresa at the Ruddington office were a joy to work with.
Established in the 1950’s, the office was originally Oliver & Son Funeral Services but in 1994 the Beeson family sold the business to the A W Lymn group.
Set in a beautiful rural environment, this office has visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
Funeral directors Teresa Spencer and Gary Cooke are in charge of the funeral home and will be more than happy to help in person Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also schedule an appointment to be seen after hours if it is more convenient for you. To do so, please call the telephone number, which is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The office covers all of Ruddington and its surrounding areas including Bradmore, Bunny, Burton on the Wolds, Costock, East Leake, Hoton, Keyworth, Kingston upon Soar, Normanton on Soar, Normanton on the Wolds, Rempstone, Sileby, Stanton on the Wolds, Sutton Bonnington, West Leake, Widmerpool, Willoughby on the Wolds, Wysall and beyond.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose. Nigel is a former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).

John`s service at Wilford Hill was every thing I could have wished for the journey was over & above what I asked for which was to drive past Notts Cricket Ground we did the full circuit of the ground, in his honour which he would have loved. Teresa was helpful through out a difficult time & was very patient with US as we made our decisions. Thank you so much.

This is our third time using the Ruddington branch as we have always been impressed with the service we have recieved. Teresa is marvellous and will go above and beyond to get things right for you. At a very difficult time they make everything run smoothly without the pressure. We have always felt the respect they give to our departed loved ones who are treated in a kind and gentle manner and which is greatly appreciated by the grieving family. I really cannot find fault with this branch or anyone that works there. A big thank you to all of them.

The funeral was very easily arranged and although there wasn’t much time we never felt rushed. Edward had everything in hand and we were all very pleased with the funeral.

Very professional. Despite a vehicle breakdown the situation was handled very quickly and a hand-delivered note of apology and refund was waiting for us at home without the need of any hassle or embarrassment. There was nothing we could do about it so we chose to see the funny side, as life indeed is very short to worry about things we simply can’t change. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

A very sad and difficult day for myself & my family was also made into a very special day - if that makes any sense at all. That was down to us meeting 3 of the most lovely people in the business, all unique in their own way with such compassion, care and professionalism shown to us at all times. It was the small touches that you remember and mean so much, even to making sure that someone was in charge of locking our door before the cortège left. The memory boxes are such a lovely keep sake and something to treasure.
Have received nothing but wonderful comments not only about my Husband / Church Service but also with regards to A W Lymn to the smartness of the staff, the Funeral cortège and their overall compassion and professionalism shown .
It was never in question that I would ask AW Lymn of Ruddington to act on our behalf, the premises are situated in such a peaceful and tranquil area with such lovely gardens. I knew my Husband would be well looked after - he certainly was.
My self and family thank each and everyone.

I cannot put into words how kind & considerate all the staff I came into contact with from Lymns were to Keith & my family at this time, even to remaking his bed when they came to collect him, stopping & walking him past Notts County ground on his final journey thank you for making this very sad time almost bearable
