In memory of Peter, one of the very best (of many) colleagues. Creative, sensible, thoughtful, principled, purposeful, generous, kind; hardly begins to describe his work. Just so very glad our paths crossed. Young people and the world of education will miss you greatly. Condolences to family and friends.

In memory of a great boss and a great human being, who made a lasting impression on everyone who had the good fortune to come into contact with him. He will be greatly missed, but definitely not forgotten.

Peter was a genuine gentleman who went out of his way to help and support me when I was new to role. It was a pleasure to get to know him!

Peter was a wonderful man, a trusted and valued colleague and a great friend. Everyone who was fortunate to know Peter will miss his kindness, wisdom and his sense of humour. My deepest condolences to Ruth, Peter's children and all of his family and friends. Gone but never forgotten x

Pete…you were the best boss I ever had and that’s not changed after all these years. You were an inspiration to all those who worked with you and to every child that was lucky enough to have been in your care. You made coming to work fun, whilst helping me to grow and develop at the same time. It’s nearly 25 years since you decided to employ me at Forest School…and I remain in education to this day. I can only hope that I make the same difference with the young people I work with, like you did with all those students of ours back in the day. Pete…I was lucky enough to be able to call you my friend too which was an even greater honour and privilege. I find it hard to believe that there will be no more beers and catch ups, but I have the fondest memories and will aways hold them dear. God bless you Pete and rest easy my friend. You will be remembered and missed for the great person you were Peter.

I remember meeting Peter on his first few days at Nottinghamshire County Council and had the pleasure of being paired with him during an Occupational Therapy team day. We were given activities to do together and I was useless which made us both laugh. I then managed to catch on to the activity after which Peter started to struggle but not for long. We both laughed so much. What an amazing man he was, so kind, thoughtful and modest always having a listening and empathic ear. You are going to be missed hugely. My thoughts are with his family.
