Charis was excellent she helped me, advised me and nothing was too much trouble for her. This is the 1st time I have had to arrange a funeral and from the moment I made that 1st telephone call to Lymns, I was very impressed. Everything was explained to me in detail and any questions I asked were answered honestly and professionally. I felt Charis went that extra mile to care for and look after my mother-in-law (the deceased) and my family when they came to view.
Very very impressed, not the cheapest, but money isn't an issue when it comes to caring for the deceased.

Charis, Tony Mills, and all the staff at A W Lymn were extremely thoughtful and handled every aspect of my Dad's funeral preparations meticulously and expertly--from the day he passed away and his body had to be collected from his nursing home to the funeral itself, and their post-funeral dealings with us. All their dealings were full of sensitivity and courtesy, so much so that it was a strikingly different customer service experience to what can generally be expected in the world nowadays.

There was some miscommunication between A W Lymn and Gedling Crematorium regarding the time available for the service. A W Lymn told us that the whole hour 11:00-12:00 was ours to include about 10 minutes for setting up, the service itself, and from 11:50 for mourners to leave the chapel or remain to watch the charging of the coffin. However, in the middle of the service I was approached by one of the crematorium attendants and advised to speed up or we wouldn't have time to play the last two pieces of music and wouldn't be finished on time. I told her we were right on schedule to leave the chapel or watch the charging of the coffin at 11:50, and then she told me we actually needed to leave the chapel earlier than 11:50. Even now I don't know what time they expected us to end. I was anxious and lost track of the time after that. We had to just rush, and that was not a good experience, but it didn't spoil the service. One other thing was that the chapel displayed a different backdrop from the one I'd selected via A W Lymn. I'd asked for the waterfall backdrop and they used something else. When I brought this to the attendant's attention, she corrected it about 15 minutes into the service.

At times like this, you need caring, empathetic people, and that's exactly what we got.  I can't speak highly enough about the whole service, from the first phone call from them to confirm they had collected my Dad and he was now resting with them.  Nothing was too much trouble for them and they answered every single question, efficiently.  World Class Service.

Well we’re do I start, after losing my brother very suddenly I was lost and unsure were to start. I contacted lymns and from start to finish they have all been amazing and so caring I couldn’t thank them enough. I had most of my dealings with a young lady called charis and all I can say is she was perfect with everything, she listened to what we wanted and the day turned out amazing. On the day of the funeral everything was perfect and on time and the lead of the journey and the drivers was so compassionate to us as a family it melted my heart. I would highly recommend lyms to anyone that asks me and I would never use anyone else they all have a space in my heart.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, even initially coming out to see me.  Anything I requested they arranged if it was possible. Everything went very smoothly and I think my mother would have loved what had been arranged for her final journey.

I cannot thank Charis enough for everything she did for us. She made the whole process feel a lot easier.

We had never organised a funeral before and she took us through everything we needed to do at the right speed.

Nothing  was ever too much trouble and everything just went so smoothly. 

I thought the memory box at the end was such a lovely touch. We were recommended Lymns and I would definitely recommend Lymns again.
