The staff at the Mansfield branch of Lymn's were extremely helpful in arranging the funeral, especially as I do not live in the local area and needed to do much of the organisation by e-mail / telephone. On the day the team made sure everything went smoothly from transport to the church, the funeral service , transfer to the crematorium and finally venue for the wake.

A W Lymn are absolutely five star. Their service and standards are impeccable. They looked after our beautiful mother so well while she was in their care. I was allowed to do her hair and makeup myself ready for her final journey. What a journey that was in those immaculate, beautiful Rolls Royce Phantoms. The staff are amazing, from David who helped us make the arrangements to David and the gents who took mum and us in the cars. Couldn't wish for nicer people, so professional and mum couldn't of had a better final journey than what lymns provided. I can not recommend them enough or thank them enough.
The office is located at Standard House, on Chesterfield Road South, and is a two storey building directly across from the Catholic Church of Saint Philip Neri. Standard House was opened on 12th July 2005 by Dr. Nigel Chapman, H. M. Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to better serve Mansfield’s families.
The premises include a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, off-street parking, some garaging for our fleet cars and cold room facilities.
Funeral director David Clarke is in charge of the office and Jonathan Baker is the senior funeral director responsible for the area. David is available at the funeral home from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can arrange an appointment at your convenience if you are unable to visit the office during opening hours. The telephone line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Mansfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Established in 1907, A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nowadays, Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose run the company.

David Clarke at the Rainworth branch made a very difficult time much, much easier for us. He’s so caring and compassionate, an expert in his profession and an absolute gentleman.
I genuinely don’t think we could ever thank him enough for everything he did for us.

The service I received was excellent and helped me through a very difficult time. The ability to deal with all aspects of the funeral with one group of people was extremely helpful and David and Wendy were always kind and understanding. On the day of the funeral the support David gave to me and my family was second to none.

David and his staff conducted themselves with dignity and professionalism through the whole process of my dad's funeral. I cannot speak highly enough of the way they communicated with us as a family, ensuring that all our needs were met. My family and I were very pleased with the excellent services provided by A.W. Lymn regarding the funeral arrangements for our Mum. From the initial enquiry, through to the funeral day itself, all the staff we dealt with were sympathetic and courteous, and the service provided was thoroughly professional, yet personal. The service and care that my family and myself received from David and his team at Mansfield was fantastic. Nothing seemed to faze David, everything was organised and in hand and nothing was too much trouble. At a time when we find it difficult to cope with the simplest of tasks and are unable to think clearly, it's very reassuring to have someone to go to who understands completely how you feel and treats you with compassion and respect, regardless of how you are dealing with your grief. Simply cannot thank David and the team enough.
