They did an excellent job. Would recommend them . Where very caring . The only thing that was not right was some music for remembering the deceased in the middle. It was the right title on our cd we gave them , but a different version with just piano music , ours had other musical instruments in it with piano in the background. So it sounded completely different. Did not spoil the day though.
The office is located at Standard House, on Chesterfield Road South, and is a two storey building directly across from the Catholic Church of Saint Philip Neri. Standard House was opened on 12th July 2005 by Dr. Nigel Chapman, H. M. Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to better serve Mansfield’s families.
The premises include a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, off-street parking, some garaging for our fleet cars and cold room facilities.
Funeral director David Clarke is in charge of the office and Jonathan Baker is the senior funeral director responsible for the area. David is available at the funeral home from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can arrange an appointment at your convenience if you are unable to visit the office during opening hours. The telephone line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Mansfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Established in 1907, A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nowadays, Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose run the company.

Thank you for making a difficult time easier. We didn’t use the online notification as most of the guest preferred telephone contact. But I like the idea of on line even though we didn’t utilise it.

David Combe made the whole process of my father’s funeral so easy. I didn’t know where to start with anything from registering the death onwards, he explained everything to me and helped me to make decisions with the arrangements with such care and compassion. Everything from choosing flowers and caskets to the printing of the order of service and the cars was perfect.
A very professional and caring team all round.

it’s the one service you don’t want to be reviewing. However, when you do need such a service it needs to be done well. I first used A W Lymn Mansfield offices upon recommendation 10 years ago for my mum. They were outstanding then so were my first choice now having lost my Dad. Jonathan actually remembered my Dads character from 10 years & even though he had moved regional offices he made the effort to take charge of my Dads funeral at my request. David at the Mansfield office and Jonathan at the Woodhouse offices were both brilliant in arranging things for my Dad. Professional, sympathetic,friendly and helpful. At times like this it really helps to have such great support and I am really grateful to them. As far as I am concerned they are the only funeral directors I would consider. Obviously I just hope I don’t need to call upon there services again for a long long long time.

I couldn't thank AW Lymns enough for what they did, nothing was too much trouble. They kept me informed all the way. They were sympathetic to our necessary respectful and nothing was rushed. The cars were amazing and the Staff did an job from start to finish. They gave me the name for a lady to do the service Rachel Malone her service was out of this world, the best service I had ever been to , I felt as though she had known my mum. My family are all agreed that my mums funeral service, which was conducted by A W LYMN, were absolutely of the highest standards of professionalism, dignity and courtesy. Everything that they provided came straight out of the top drawer, it made a very sad day that much more easier to deal with knowing mum was in such capable hands. David is a true professional, he explained all aspects of the Funeral and exactly how the service would go. I cannot praise him enough. We had a wonderful chat even smiles and laughter which, to me, made David's visit really special.
