The office is located at Standard House, on Chesterfield Road South, and is a two storey building directly across from the Catholic Church of Saint Philip Neri. Standard House was opened on 12th July 2005 by Dr. Nigel Chapman, H. M. Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to better serve Mansfield’s families.
The premises include a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, off-street parking, some garaging for our fleet cars and cold room facilities.
Funeral director David Clarke is in charge of the office, and Jonathan Baker is the senior funeral director responsible for the area. Wendy Walker, a qualified funeral director, is based here when not covering holidays or sickness for the Mansfield funeral homes. David is available at the funeral home from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Alternatively, you can arrange an appointment at your convenience if you are unable to visit the office during opening hours. The telephone line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Mansfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Established in 1907, A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nowadays, Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose run the company.

We have used the services of A W Lymn’s for both our parents and cannot fault the service provided by them. All the staff I dealt with along the way have been wonderful especially David from the Mansfield branch. It has been a great comfort at such a heart breaking time to know that they had been looked after so well and great care was taken so they had fitting send off. To anyone having to look for funeral services we would personally recommend them with the knowledge that your loved one is in safe hands.

From first contact on 10th January to the cremation date of 14th February David guided us through every stage of the process. He did this with a professional and compassionate approach which we greatly needed at that time.
We are thankful that David was there for us at the end of the telephone, as this gave us confidence to move forward dealing with each task. His advice has been invaluable.

From the very beginning and during all my contact with David Clarke at A. W. Lymn he and their staff have been brilliant. I was treated with the utmost sympathy and given valuable advice. I was never rushed and had everything explained to me. They kept in constant contact updating me at all times. I was assisted with enquires with the coroner from early times and on the day I was delighted with a lovely service. They have truly helped my family in difficult times. Thank you David, thank you A.
