The office is located at Standard House, on Chesterfield Road South, and is a two storey building directly across from the Catholic Church of Saint Philip Neri. Standard House was opened on 12th July 2005 by Dr. Nigel Chapman, H. M. Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to better serve Mansfield’s families.
The premises include a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, off-street parking, some garaging for our fleet cars and cold room facilities.
Funeral director David Clarke is in charge of the office and Jonathan Baker is the senior funeral director responsible for the area. David is available at the funeral home from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can arrange an appointment at your convenience if you are unable to visit the office during opening hours. The telephone line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Mansfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Established in 1907, A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nowadays, Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose run the company.

I chose A W Lymn to conduct my late father’s funeral on Monday, 8th March, 2021.
Our funeral organiser was Tina Clay who was fantastic and so professional to deal with from our very first conversation. In fact Tina went above and beyond in the planning and delivering of exactly what we wanted. She made the whole process so easy.
Andy the Funeral Director was outstanding. What a great guy and so professional.
We thought the two times that Andy walked in front of the hearse were an extra special touch, as was the pausing outside of my Mum and Dad’s former bungalow.
Andy and our driver, Martin were very compassionate in the way in which they looked after my Mum. Both quickly put us all at ease. and Martin’s driving was excellent.
The Chapel was offered to us for the Service and was greatly appreciated due to the cold and inclement weather.
We thought the service was excellent and thank Tina for her choice of Minister, Chris Carnall, who delivered such a fantastic tribute. I also thank Tina for the provision of the iPod and music. Also for creating the lovely Orders of Service.
To finalise, Tina, Andy and the whole team were first class and I wish to thank each and every one of you for organising, managing and conducting my Dad’s funeral so professionally.
I would most definitely recommend A W Lymn without reservation.

After choosing A.W.Lymn for my mother’s funeral,everything was taken care of from our first telephone call to our last goodbye,they provided everything we needed and were compassionate respectful and immensely reassuring.we really could not thank them enough.To Tina clay for sending us a very informative colour brochure for us to choose from,and then putting everything together,from the service,cars,beautiful flowers,photographs,order of service and chosen hymns.we really didn’t have to do anything ourselves.Thankyou also to Steven eustace for the beautiful service and readings.We would especially like to thank the pall bearers,drivers of the hearse and cars who were all kind courteous dignified and noble and have our families heartfelt gratitude.kindest regards Mr simon and Lee Taylor.

The whole process was dealt with empathy and dignity. Mum had the best send off we could give under the circumstances and Tina made this as smooth as possible, nothing was too much trouble.

The only thing that dissappointed was that the celebrant did not say that Hannah Winterton could not sing live because of covid, which I think should have been said. Otherwise everything was very good thank you Carol.

Everyone at A. W. Lymn were polite, respectful and compassionate as we arranged our mum's funeral. Tina dealt promptly with our many questions, phone calls and emails with patience and we wish to thank her so much for everything she did. Andy who was with us at the Crematorium was so kind and he organised everything for us so it all went smoothly. Everything had been made more difficult due to Covid 19 but A. W. Lymn did all they could so we were able to have the best funeral we could for our mum.

Normally all obituaries would appear on the first page of this facility but unfortunately, due ot the current Coronavirus situation, their was a large number of online obituaries which regrettably meant that you had to search to find this.
