The office is located at Standard House, on Chesterfield Road South, and is a two storey building directly across from the Catholic Church of Saint Philip Neri. Standard House was opened on 12th July 2005 by Dr. Nigel Chapman, H. M. Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to better serve Mansfield’s families.
The premises include a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, off-street parking, some garaging for our fleet cars and cold room facilities.
Funeral director David Clarke is in charge of the office and Jonathan Baker is the senior funeral director responsible for the area. David is available at the funeral home from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can arrange an appointment at your convenience if you are unable to visit the office during opening hours. The telephone line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Mansfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Shirebrook, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Established in 1907, A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by the Lymn Rose family. Nowadays, Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose run the company.

David, who dealt with my husbands funeral was a total gentleman. He instantly made me feel at ease on arrival and did his very best to help with all the arrangements. Nick our celebrant
also described Steve's life to perfection. A perfect send off from a wonderful company. Should the need ever arise I will use again.

We were delighted to have chosen A W Lymn to be mum's funeral directors when we initially took out the Pre-Paid Funeral Plan some 4 years ago. They were extremely helpful at that time and I must say they have been outstanding now that we have needed them to take care of the actual funeral and to look after our late mother.
David's attention to detail is second to none, he explained everything very clearly and always with great respect and compassion. Nothing has been too much trouble for him and my sister and I are very grateful for his assistance.
With his help and all involved at AW Lymn we gave mum the funeral she wanted and deserved.

When dad passed away and Jonathan came to collect him, the compassion and care never stopped right through to the day we said our final goodbye.
David was very helpful when arranging the funeral for us - nothing was too much trouble, no matter how many times we changed and altered the plans. On the day I wouldn't have had anyone but Jonathan overseeing everything. (He did such an amazing job when we said goodbye to mum) He ensured everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything at all, just saying goodbye to Dad.

It's really difficult going through practical processes while suffering grief but David Clarke from Lymns in Mansfield helped me every step of the way. Always patient and kind, David advised in such a way that the practicalities were easier to deal with and understand. I was so grateful that arranging Mum's funeral was something I could actually achieve at such a difficult time.
On the day of the funeral our family and friends were all impressed with the service and how well it ran. It was personalised to represent our mother and her life and so very special to us. Everyone commented on how special the service was.
I can only say thank you but it isn't nearly enough.
