About Us
Built in 1974 on the site of the Old Runge Hall in Culling Road, the F.A. Albin & Sons head office was built to serve the community and has every facility to assist families at the time of bereavement.
The premises are located in close proximity to the public transport system and have allocated spaces for customer parking. Facilities include eight chapels of rest, a large garage to accommodate our modern fleet, a comprehensive mortuary, a museum as well as administration offices.
Also located at Culling Road is F.A. Albin & Sons' memorial garden, which consists of a large number of niches for families to inter the ashes of their loved ones, boulder plaques, wall and vase plaques where flowers can be placed. All remembrance opportunities are open to everyone so you will not be required to retain ashes in order to dedicate a memorial.
Funeral directors Jonathan and Simon Dyer are responsible for the branch and are available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm. The company operates a 24 hour on call response outside normal working hours.
Our office serves all of the M25 area.
The Albin family first worked as wardens of the Bermondsey cemetery over 200 years ago, to then start serving the community as funeral directors.
What Families Say
AI SummaryMany families describe the care and compassion shown by staff at every stage, from initial contact through the funeral day itself. They note that the process of arranging a funeral felt guided and supported rather than rushed or transactional, with staff taking time to understand what families wanted and treating their loved ones with dignity.
Communication and accessibility emerge as significant themes, with families appreciating staff who remained available to answer questions, offered clear explanations of what to expect, and kept them informed throughout. Several mention feeling listened to and supported during decisions they had never faced before.
A number of reviews touch on cost, with families noting that prices were reasonable or more affordable than expected, and that despite requesting more elaborate arrangements, the final quote did not present the financial burden they had anticipated.

My family have always used Albins throughout the years from generation to generation. They are the most professional, attentive funeral directors who go above and beyond to make each loved ones send off perfect and unique.

Thank you soo much for your service. Without your help and support, I don’t think me and my family could have got through this difficult time . They are nice and understanding. Also going above and beyond. Very compassionate and I feel like I wasn’t getting treated like a customer but as family. I would recommend them to anyone who has to unfortunately go through a difficult time such as this. They will make the journey, just that little easier

From the start of our bereavement Scott from Albin's was patient and took us through the whole process and did everything from arranging a fantastic priest ( Father Michael Branch. Who gave us a service that no one who was there will ever forget, absolutely brilliant ). Scott also arranged the service cards which were designed that took my breath away. The staff at Culling Road who took great care of my sister's 2 grandchildren whilst she and her husband visited our late father in the chapel of rest. the team who took care of us on the day of the funeral were absolutely fantastic and made a very sad day go smoothly and easy for my Mum & Family & myself. I would recommend F.A.Albins as they took the stress & fear out of arranging our late Fathers funeral and made it a send off that he would have been proud of.
