Stephen P Gay Funeral Services in Longfield Kent handled my father Ray's funeral upon his passing, in accordance with the funeral plan I put in place for Dad via the same company a few months previously.

At a time like this, they understand that time, patience, & empathy, coupled with professionalism and quiet reassurance, are key ingredients to successfully navigate through what for many is the most challenging of times. Nathalie was our main point of contact, but the whole team acquitted themselves very well, and their experience & local knowledge really showed.

This firm is a family run business which, regrettably, we have got to know very well, having lost both our parents and our sister in the last 7 years. Each time, they have been simply perfect from beginning to end. Everything is thought of, everyone treated us with compassion, dignity and a smile. They bring a lightness into dark times. On the day itself, each time we were guided to be in the right place at the right time and treated with such gentle and beautiful kindness that we felt taken care of as though they were close family friends. I cannot imagine how they could improve upon their service. I highly recommend them.

Everyone went out of their way to ensure that my dear wife Elizabeth had the very best sendoff possible, and the standard of service was second to none. Natalie in the office was so kind and caring and extremely professional. She listed to what we wanted with patience and care. I also spoke to Pauline and Annie who equally were lovely. They kindly organised everything we wanted for Dad and with great compassion. The Cars we had on the day were really nice as were the drivers. The only matter that we found disappointing was that we had particularly requested and agreed a format for the service, which was important to us as a family and for what our dad wanted, yet on the day we were asked to change it, for no real justified reason. We did stand our ground and the service went ahead as planned, but it was a lack of empathy at a very sensitive time and very unnecessary also. However Dad had a lovely send off which is what was important.
