This is our third funeral using the services of Jonathan Terry and we have found that the support , compassion and care was everything that we needed it to be. Sarah as always went above and beyond to guide us through this difficult time and Jonathan also Tom previously was a rock on the day. We would highly recommend them.

Established in 1999 by Jonathan Terry, who has been dedicated to the funeral profession since 1985, they have built a solid reputation for delivering personal and excellent service to families throughout Southampton and beyond.
Over the years, Jonathan Terry have continuously reinvested in their business to ensure that they offer the best possible support to their families. In 2008, in response to the growing demand from families on the eastern side of Southampton, they opened their London Road funeral home.
A significant milestone in their journey came in December 2018 when they acquired 103 Peartree Avenue and launched the White Lily Centre, a bereavement centre offering counselling services to all. The White Lily Centre stands as a symbol of their commitment to supporting families beyond the funeral itself.
In May 2022, their services were further enhanced with the introduction of a new fleet of Mercedes hearses and limousines, ensuring that every aspect of your loved one's final journey is conducted with the utmost care and professionalism.

The London Road funeral home opened in 2008 and relocated to 10 College Place in 2025, opposite the Crown Courts of Southampton, and is under the direction of Ms Sarah Ockwell and Ms Natalie Day. Their opening times are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but they are available 24-hours a day by telephone.

Anne at Jonathan Terry (London Road) helped us so much that it all seemed so easy to organise. I cannot thank them all enough for the respectful and efficient way we were taken through the whole thing, both beforehand and on the day itself. I would highly recommend this company as they made a very sad time into a seamless beautiful one.

The Welcome in the Office was very genuine and phone calls were sensitively handled. The arrangements with Church and Authorities was most efficient and the car travel on the day was of the same high standard. The Brochures for Matthew,s services pleased the family and friends. The recommended Florist was excellent.

Wasn’t impressed the flowers couldn’t travel with my mum making the carriage look bare. No warning before hand regarding this might as not brought flowers. Made mum look unloved and cared for. Having a hearse just for flowers defeats the reason for having flowers!!!

Tom was very kind, caring & professional. Nothing was too much trouble. His attention to detail was perfect & he listened to us & did everything we asked for. On the day of my Mum’s funeral everything went very smoothly & everything was done with great dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jonathan Terry. They certainly made a sad & stressful time so much easier.

Thoughtful, sympathetic, helpful, caring, polite, and friendly. These are all words for the London Road Staff. Their presentation of our daughter was lovely and their attention to detail was beyond words. We could chat with them as if they were friends, not just a customer to make money out of. We would recommend them to anyone, well worth the money.

We cannot praise Tom and his team highly enough. Their empathetic approach, the information given , their caring and calm approach to everything has only helped us get through what we can only say is the worst time of our lives. Tom has been there any hour and day without hesitation. Delivering an amazingly knowledgable and supportive service and advising us closely along the way.
From the onset Tom was great even up until the funeral day where he and his team just surpassed our every need so empathetically and without any great issue - such a calm nature and approach to everything. Even choosing the best celebrant to suit our dad and his ways. Even to this day the last few bits to sort and we are still welcomed and communicated to with greatest care. The whole experience has been so devastating for us as a family but without this supportive rock it would have been so much more tricky. Our upmost thanks and heartfelt gratitude goes out to Tom and his team forever in our hearts at this sad time. Thank you Lyn, Claire and Ali

I used Jonathan Terry last year when they looked after my mother's funeral so when it came to my husbands there was nobody that I even considered.
They were kind, talked everything through, efficient, no hard selling and really looked after my husband and me and kept me updated with everything.
