The staff were very helpful and the order of service booklet was lovely plus the arrangement of photos for the committal. In my bereaved stress I didn't follow the Obitus details properly and sent out the wrong details which was a great pity . Can I suggest that in future you take please through the site log on are personal meet and then put your warning IN BOLD when you email the details...advising to cut and paste exactly the wording (sorry , I missed it ! )Also too about the just giving, I was not familiar so didn't take advantage of it ).

The London Road funeral home opened in 2008 and relocated to 10 College Place in 2025, opposite the Crown Courts of Southampton, and is under the direction of Ms Sarah Ockwell and Ms Natalie Day. Their opening times are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but they are available 24-hours a day by telephone.

From the time of asking them to direct the funeral they were brilliant, compassionate and took the stress out of things. From liaising with the coroner, preparing & viewing our loved one, arranging a celebrant and arranging detour en route to Crematorium so that colleagues could line the route safely. Highly recommended.

Jonathan Terry funeral directors were excellent throughout. All the staff at the Southampton branch went above and beyond through our difficult time. Everything went easily and effortlessly and we did not have to concern ourselves with anything. They were very professional and i highly recommend their services.

Jonathan Terry were a great help in helping us to make all the arrangements for Christopher’s funeral, especially as we do not live locally. The staff were kind, understanding and very efficient in all they did. The service was very good and very well organised which made the day less of sad occasion, more of a celebration for a brother’s life.

Covid 19 put restrictions on what we could do but Jonathan Terry provided exceptional support during a very difficult time. Everything ran perfectly and they were professional to the core and gave my husband the send off he deserved. Thank you

Having used Johnathan Terry for my Father's funeral, which was handled with care and dignity, they were the obvious choice for my Mother's.
Again the service provided was one of care and compassion. I would thoroughly recommend them. Probably one of the best Funeral Directors in Southampton.

I couldn't possibly praise Jonathan Terry"s enough, as a family we've required their services too many times over the last decade, but 4 occasions in the last 4 years. Unfortunately the most recent was my Mother, Mum insisted we would contact Jonathan Terry's when the day came. I have to say the levels of respect & customer service were already 10 out of 10 previously, with the current lockdown restrictions Jonathan Terry's raised the bar yet again this company is sheer class! The hearse began from our Mum's home and due to shielding our Dad (separated) couldn't attend, but the procession was able to drive past our Dads house so he could pay his respects, Mathew stopped the Hearse, allowed our Dad a moment and then began leading the procession walking in from off the hearse again. We arrived at the Crematorium, we parked as the hearse stopped and were asked if we would wish to walk behind the hearse for Mum's final journey (as the limousines were unavailable due to social distancing) Once again Mathew was class, he made a horrendous time to endure such a day with restrictions the best send off with just a few tweaks which made our mum's day unique and it was very dignified. Thank you Mathew.
I can't not mention Margaret who has always been so respectful to any of us and our family over the years.
Jonathan Terry's thank you for making our Mum's special day also such a special day for us as well.

We found ourselves in a very difficult situation trying to organise my father’s funeral in the middle of the Coronavirus outbreak but Margaret and her team at Jonathan Terry made everything so simple by taking over the entire organisation for us including the sorting out of Flowers, Minister, and Organist which could have proved very difficult at this time, as well as booking the crematorium at a suitable time to accommodate family travel arrangements. Everything has been handled with care and sensitivity and we would have no hesitation in recommending Jonathan Terry to anyone. My father’s Care Home were also very impressed with the services provided the company.

We have received a very compassionate service where nothing was too much trouble. Margaret,Sarah and Ed along with the others in the day were all very kind, caring and everything was explained well although they were not intrusive.We were allowed to have exactly what we wanted which made for an incredible service which meant the world to family and friends.They all look after everyone but most importantly they look after your loved one with love throughout.Highly recommend them for the support and aftercare too.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Jonathan Terry. Everyone I dealt with was very kind and understanding and on the day of the funeral itself the staff were superb and everything went without a hitch.
