Therefore funeral directors in Portsmouth are likely to have experience helping families from different religious and cultural backgrounds.

Places of worship in the city include Christian churches, the Sikh Community Temple in Southsea, Central Mosque and Portsmouth Jami Mosque. Portsmouth has council-managed cemeteries at Milton Road, Kingston and Highland Road. Portchester Crematorium, located in nearby Farnham, is a popular and convenient choice for local families.

Just like to thank Tracie at Waters & Sons, Portchester, For guiding me through the funeral arrangement process  for my wife’s funeral, as I’d never had to do this before she made it very easy at a very difficult time and I will always be grateful for that. The funeral service it’s self ran exactly to plan so thanks to the whole team at Waters & Sons and would highly recommend them.  Andy Thomson

We contacted Waters & Sons when we knew we needed to make funeral arrangements for my husband as he was transferred to end of life care. It was so refreshing at the point when we were making enquiries to be given readily the open and honest information in relation to costs. We met with Tracie Bascombe at the Portchester branch who treated us with compassion and professionalism, ensuring that all our needs and wants were recorded. When the time came a simple ‘phone call put everything in place, a true benefit at a very emotional time for the family. We received professional and empathetic support from the entire team at Waters & Sons, in the run up to the funeral and so much on the day. Simon Waters and his team provided customer support of the highest standard in delivering the funeral we wanted and we are grateful to him and every single member of the team we came into contact with on the day. We can only recommend Waters & Sons highly and thank them for the very professional service they delivered. A Swetman

Tracie at the Portchester branch was very helpful and efficient. Thanks to her efforts the funeral was as good as any such event can be. The only slight criticism is the obituary site which is very, very slow and sometimes crashes. This was pointed out so hopefully the problems are now sorted.

Dave and Liddia are two very  caring people, they listen to you. They will give very good advice, they will find the best  funeral to serve your budget as best they can. I have used their services not only to set up end of life plans for clients, but also when l lost my brother. They were so supportive l cannot praise them enough. Before you make a final choice go and see them find out for yourself. A big thank you from my heart to you both.x
