About Us
This funeral home was part of the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service, which opened in May 1994, and was then incorporated into the A.W. Lymn group in October 2003.
The funeral home is run by funeral arranger Michelle Ibbett and overseen by funeral director Mick Schofield. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
If you need assistance after hours, you can always call the telephone number at any time, seven days a week, and arrange an appointment at your convenience.
The premises offers one client parking space, a reception area, family rooms, visiting rooms and cold room facilities.
The branch gives a discount to Co-op members and also offers Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Vouchers and Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Plans.
The Ilkeston office covers all of Ilkeston and its surrounding area including Awsworth, Cossall, Eastwood, Heanor, Kimberley, Kirk Hallam, Langley Mill, Loscoe, Shipley, Smalley, Stanley, Trowell, West Hallam and beyond.
Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are the directors of the A W Lymn group.

AW Lymn are a fantastic funeral organisation. Michelle at the Ilkeston branch has been so caring. Organising everything for our family and going above and beyond to help. Tracey Matthews our celebrate for the ceremony was absolutely perfect, she has a warm heart and delivered the perfect ceremony for my Dad, along with such love and commitment. It's puzzling me why was the coffin so long my mum was so tiny

We allow space within the coffin, so it is not a tight fit, with an allowance for a nice pillow and padding at head and foot end and for the frill interior. I hope this puts your mind to rest of why the coffin appeared bigger than your Mums size – Michelle.

Michelle Ibbett at Ilkeston is the biggest credit to your company. I don’t know how I would have navigated this whole process without her. Sensitive caring and full of perfect ideas. She’s been a blanket wrapped around me and will stay in touch with her forever.
On the note of the company, your finishing touches are second to none. Everything is presented in a beautiful way. Mike the funeral director on the day was incredible as we’re his team. The day went exactly as planned and I can’t thank you enough.

Michelle is an asset to your team. She is personable, caring, efficient, excellent attention to detail and very flexible. Nothing was too much trouble. She built up trust very quickly and was able to guide us to make the right decisions. The team of gentlemen who drove the cars etc were also a great team.

Always going to be a very difficult thing to plan a funeral. I lost my beautiful mum and from the start of collecting mum from home and to funeral home, chapel of rest and church, I can not fault the service I received. Michelle was so lovely, sympathetic, knowledgeable, friendly, professional and made my journey so much easier. She made my mum look like my mum
