A.W. Lynm provided outstanding service for my dad’s funeral, guiding us through a very difficult time with compassion, professionalism, and care. Michelle and the entire team were simply amazing attentive to every detail, patient, and incredibly supportive from start to finish. Their warmth and dedication made the whole process more bearable, and we felt truly looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and every aspect was handled with respect and dignity. We are so grateful for everything they did to help us honour Dad in the best way possible. Thank you, Michelle and team, you were exceptional.
This funeral home was part of the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service, which opened in May 1994, and was then incorporated into the A.W. Lymn group in October 2003.
The funeral home is run by funeral arranger Michelle Ibbett and overseen by funeral director Mick Schofield. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
If you need assistance after hours, you can always call the telephone number at any time, seven days a week, and arrange an appointment at your convenience.
The premises offers one client parking space, a reception area, family rooms, visiting rooms and cold room facilities.
The branch gives a discount to Co-op members and also offers Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Vouchers and Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Plans.
The Ilkeston office covers all of Ilkeston and its surrounding area including Awsworth, Cossall, Eastwood, Heanor, Kimberley, Kirk Hallam, Langley Mill, Loscoe, Shipley, Smalley, Stanley, Trowell, West Hallam and beyond.
Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are the directors of the A W Lymn group.

From Start to finish the service was impeccable.
From the Cars arriving at the Home to return it was perfection, the dignity and respect that was shown to our Resident was heart-warming to say the least.
The Service led by Tracy who was recommended to us by Michelle was beautiful.
We cannot thank the Team at Lymn's enough for what they did, and we would have no hesitation in using them in the future

My Brother and i first used A.W.Lymn for our Fathers funeral three years ago at Cotmanhay and was looked after by Michelle who guided us through the process with professionalism,compassion and sensitivity.We knew that when Mums time came we’d want Michelle again.Luckily after a phone call we found her at the Ilkeston branch.We called to see her just before Mum passed.She remembered us well and was able to reference dads funeral arrangement so we could do mums pretty much the same.
When Mum passed Michelle provided all the help we needed with compassion and a welcome sense of humor.
On the day everything went smoothly and all colleagues involved played their part with professionalism.
To summarize we would not hesitate to recommend A.W Lymn.

Lymn's did an exemplary job. Our funeral arranger, Michelle was empathic and so kind in helping me through the process; not only in deciding how the service would be conducted, but also in advising on the administration process, explaining what I needed to do and when. She listened attentively to my wishes and made thoughtful constructive suggestions, without pressure, that made the day as close to perfect as it could be. The celebrant that Micelle suggested, Shirley Reed, was brilliant and delivered a warm and engaging eulogy. Our family and friends remarked on what a beautiful service it was, and how it was totally appropriate for my late wife.

The planning & organisation of the funeral was excellent. Michelle covered all aspects and was extremely knowledgeable and efficient.
