About Us

L.J. Tregunna Funeral Directors in Truro, Cornwall, have been serving the local community with personalised, thoughtful funeral arrangements since 1948. As the third generation of the business, Kevin Tregunna and his wife Sue oversee every aspect of their traditional family funeral directors.

The compassionate team of funeral professionals at L.J. Tregunna Funeral Directors are happy to help with any sort of funeral your loved one might have wanted, whether that's a traditional religious ceremony or a non-religious, humanist celebration of life.

You will have a wide variety of coffins, caskets and urns to choose from, including hardwoods, veneers and eco-friendly materials. There is a range of funeral transport, including a traditional Jaguar hearse and limousine, horse-drawn hearses and other bespoke options.

L.J. Tregunna Funeral Directors' funeral home in Truro is open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week phone support. The funeral home has a chapel of rest where you can spend time with your loved one, private meeting rooms and free allocated parking nearby. Home visits are available by appointment.

    Absolutely fantastic. Literally could not be better in any way. From the minute I arrived everything was taken care of. And the people who work here are some of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met. I am so so happy we trusted this company with such an important matter. They were reccomedned to us highly by friends in the local area. And I can totally see why!

    The most professional and caring service throughout. All members of staff were so kind, supportive and understanding. The care that they took of our son was amazing and we could not have asked for anything more. On the day of the funeral, we were guided every step of the way and felt fully supported.     I cannot thank you all enough for your guidance and support during the hardest time of my life. All the staff go above and beyond to ensure that everything is taken care of and show the most care and compassion. No request was ever too much to ask and my mum had the best send off thanks to you all.     Just to say we couldn’t have asked anything more. Everything from start to finish was absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble anything we asked was taken care of .     L J Tregunna were fantastic. I lost my dad unexpectedly at 51 years old & as someone who wasn’t sure how to deal with anything as I’d never lost a parent before, they were brilliant. 

    The whole team are very flexible & understanding, and will go above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of. They looked after my dad & ensured he was treated with the utmost dignity & respect. 

    Kirsten is actually my old primary school teacher! Such a small world.

    Kevin, Michaela and Debbie were so helpful, understanding and sympathetic. Nothing was too much trouble. Even though I changed the date of the funeral. Even though I changed the Order of Service many, many times. They were very patient and efficient.
    The result was a beautifully conducted funeral with minimum stress for me.
    I would certainly recommend Kevin and his team.

    From the very beginning of the process of organising the funeral right up to the day of the funeral itself and the aftercare has been wonderful. Our aunt has been looked after so well and they’ve been amazing with her sister (my mum) in how they have involved her in the process whilst she’s been grieving too.
