About Us
Gallagher Family Funeral Directors is an independent family funeral director in Keighley, and have been serving the people and families of the town and its surrounding districts since 1993.
The business was established by David and Adele Gallagher, with the aim of becoming Keighley's first choice funeral director by maintaining a personal caring approach to all families of the bereaved. Their son, Sam, has recently joined the business sharing the same vision and caring values.
The Gallagher family aims to offer the highest level of care and attention with a flexible approach to individual needs by offering clear funeral options and transparent pricing.
Gallagher Family Funeral Directors are very proud to employ carefully chosen members of staff who show the care, respect and understanding that you would expect from a family business. Every funeral director is fully trained and qualified, obtaining industry recognised diplomas from the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).
The compassionate staff at Gallagher’s all understand the difficult nature of funeral arrangements, but believe it is always worthwhile contacting at least two businesses, so you can compare the services they offer and all the costs involved, as no two funerals or funeral directors are the same.
The team at the funeral home in Keighley will listen to you and make you feel at ease, to try and to help make the process of arranging a funeral easier and more bearable.
You are welcome to visit the premises by appointment to meet the family, who will answer any questions you may have.

What Families Say
AI SummaryMany families praise the consistent care and professionalism shown throughout the funeral process, describing staff as compassionate, understanding, and genuinely invested in supporting them through their grief. Families often mention that arrangements were explained clearly, questions answered patiently, and that they felt their loved one was treated with dignity and respect from the moment of collection through to the final service.
On the day of the funeral itself, families repeatedly note that staff guided them through each step with sensitivity, ensuring proceedings ran smoothly despite often difficult circumstances such as poor weather or large numbers of mourners. Several describe the funeral day as a beautiful, memorable occasion that reflected their loved one's life and wishes.
Communication emerges as something families return to frequently, with many noting that they were kept regularly informed and that staff made themselves available by phone, email, and in person whenever questions arose or reassurance was needed. Families appreciate that staff checked in on their wellbeing, not just the arrangements, and that nothing seemed too much trouble, whether accommodating specific requests, organising unusual elements, or handling complex family situations.

David,Adel and their team were excellent. This is an independent family business and they have been arranging funeral for 30 years.Their attention to detail and support for the family was impressive..The printed order of service, designed by David, was beautiful. They also organised an on line video link for friends and family who could not get to Skipton. Many Thanks and Best Wishes. Malcolm.

Paul was very supportive and helped prepare a funeral full of touches specific to my Mum. He skillfully negotiated some tricky family dynamics. The funeral went very well, despite thick snow and ice. We are very grateful to him for his care and great communication.

My sister and I would like to personally thank Sam and all the team for all your kind support and guidance in helping us to organize Mum and Dad's funerals. You made the whole process very beautiful for both of them, especially with us having to arrange their funerals just 12 weeks apart, which has been extremely hard for us both to come to terms with, but I know it will become easier for us both in time. A special thank you to Paul too for collecting and taking care of mum and dad, and for all the support he gave to us both in reassuring us that they were both in safe hands, and explaining everything to us both at such an emotional time, whilst being extremely supportive. I think they would have been very proud in what we chose for their funerals with your guidance and support throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was just perfect, even down to finding specific flowers for both of them. The empathy shown at both of their funerals by you and your fantastic team was outstanding and we will be forever grateful to you all for making them very special and personal to our family and friends. We have both had lots of comments about how fantastic you and the team were, and everyone has said that they have never been to such well organized and truly beautiful funerals, a credit to you all. Tracey and I will be forever grateful to you and the team and we would highly recommend you to friends and family. Thank you Julie Bastow
