We had the most excellent service from Martin & Elizabeth Rowley and all their colleagues treated us with curtesy and professionalism. It was such a sad time and with their help we had the perfect send off for my husband. The humanist did such a personal service which all our family and friends loved. Would highly recommend Rowley & Sons.

When my father passed in November we initially used a local Co-op and decided not to use them after not been put on hold and overhearing how staff speak about the deceased and their families we decided to due to disrespect we would use another directors, unfortunately we went with another Co-op , which is basically run by untrained children, after numerous fails to call us over days with updates and not knowing if dad was in the morgue or their care I desperately rang around trying to find a funeral director that showed some compassion, surely at a time like this it shouldn’t be like this .  Eventually I spoke to Martin and he was was everything I expected a director to be, he was the only person out of numerous directors that first offered condolences, talked me through everything and even offered to go and collect the green card from the Co-op so they could pick up dad.  Just in the first few minutes of speaking to them I knew I would be using them.  After putting the phone down me and mum burst into tears with pure relief just knowing dad would now be treated with care and respect.  Within a matter of hours they contact me to say they had collected the green card ( how embarrassing for the Co-op), booked the cremation and more importantly had dad in their care .  Something that the Co-op has been sat on for nearly a week . The offices are lovely , informal and all the family we spoke to were great .  They are even holding onto dad’s ashes for us until we decide where we are going to scatter .   We were all so impressed that my mum has expressed her wishes to be cremated using Rowleys and me and me sister are in the same opinion for ourselves .  Please use this company and  keep away from large soulless companies where their staff ( children) who have not even experienced life let alone death will make an already painful experience much worse ( they never refered to my dad by name or even dad they refered to him as “the client “) .  Thank you Rowleys for treating me and my family and more importantly my dad with the care and respect he deserved .

The best service we could have hoped for. Kindness and thoughtfulness from all. They really looked after all our needs and were so helpful. Being a family business makes a huge difference. Can thoroughly recommend to anyone who needs their services.

Everyone I dealt with at Rowley & Sons were meticulous, compassionate and thoroughly professional and met and surpassed all my expectations.

From start to finish Martin, Elizabeth and the rest of the staff were welcoming, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clearly explained and set out from start to finish which took away any stress or worry that we had about arranging a funeral.
