About Us
Built in 1974 on the site of the Old Runge Hall in Culling Road, the F.A. Albin & Sons head office was built to serve the community and has every facility to assist families at the time of bereavement.
The premises are located in close proximity to the public transport system and have allocated spaces for customer parking. Facilities include eight chapels of rest, a large garage to accommodate our modern fleet, a comprehensive mortuary, a museum as well as administration offices.
Also located at Culling Road is F.A. Albin & Sons' memorial garden, which consists of a large number of niches for families to inter the ashes of their loved ones, boulder plaques, wall and vase plaques where flowers can be placed. All remembrance opportunities are open to everyone so you will not be required to retain ashes in order to dedicate a memorial.
Funeral directors Jonathan and Simon Dyer are responsible for the branch and are available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm. The company operates a 24 hour on call response outside normal working hours.
Our office serves all of the M25 area.
The Albin family first worked as wardens of the Bermondsey cemetery over 200 years ago, to then start serving the community as funeral directors.
What Families Say
AI SummaryFamilies most often mention the compassionate and professional care shown by staff members from the initial contact through to the funeral day itself. Many describe feeling guided through the arrangements with kindness and attentiveness, noting that nothing seemed too much trouble and that staff went above and beyond to accommodate requests and ease their stress during an overwhelming time.
On the funeral day, families repeatedly highlight the dignity, respect and meticulous attention to detail in how the service was conducted, from the appearance and conduct of staff to the smooth coordination of events. Several note that loved ones received a send-off that felt fitting and special, and that the whole experience was carried out with impressive professionalism.
Throughout the reviews, families emphasise how accessible and communicative staff remained, noting they were kept informed at every stage, always available to answer questions, and willing to listen to what families wanted rather than imposing their own ideas.

We cannot thank F. A. Albin & Sons enough for everything they have done for our family over the years. They have cared for our family through several difficult times and, most recently, helped us give our Uncle a send-off he deserves They were so compassionate, caring and professional throughout, helping us in every way possible and making a very difficult time that little bit easier. We genuinely could not fault them on anything and are so grateful for all their support, kindness and attention to detail. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

thank you from the bottom of my heart. During the saddest and most difficult time of my life, your professionalism, kindness, and compassion meant more than I can ever put into words. It wasn’t just the exceptional service you provided—it was all the personal touches, the care, and the dignity you showed every step of the way. You made an unbearable time that little bit easier, and for that I will be forever grateful. You gave Mum the send-off she truly deserved, and that is something I will carry with me always. I genuinely feel indebted to you for everything you did for our family. Thank you for going above and beyond.
