My mother’s funeral took place at the Test Valley  Crematorium at the end of January 2022.

From our first meeting, I felt entirely confident that the arrangements were being left in the safest of hands.  Nicola was always quick to respond with any questions I asked and called me when there was an update, such as with the music and the booking of the celebrant.  She also contacted me to tell me when my mother was to be transferred from Kent to Hampshire.  She was extremely diligent and caring, doing everything to ensure that I had peace of mind.  I am so grateful to her for everything she did to ensure that my wishes were fulfilled.  My mother always used to say that she ‘didn’t want a pauper’s funeral’ when we spoke about such matters in the past.  I feel it is quite safe to say that we gave her a fitting send-off!  The family hoped to have a service which, although necessarily somber, was also uplifting and an appropriate commemoration of my mother’s life.  I believe that this was achieved.  I have recently viewed the webcast and I am proud of how it went.

I am so glad that I placed the arrangements for my mother’s funeral with The Co-operative Funeralcare company and I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to others.

The funeral service itself was amazing and could not be improved upon at all. The horse and carriage in particular was talked about for a long time after. 

The admin and telephone service can be a bit disjointed, sometimes requiring extra calls and different paperwork.  That said, we would happily recommend the service to others.

The service received from the Walderslade office was very good, kind and helpful. 
There is an issue with the head office not getting back to me about cancelling the pre-paid funeral plan. I hope this is not just to keep hold of the money for as long as possible!

I was met with great sympathy and understanding at what is a very stressful time.
At no time was I rushed to make a decision with regards to the funeral arrangements.
I had excellent follow up in the time following my visit to make the arrangements and before the funeral.plus a phone call following to ensure all went as well as I expected.
At all times I felt  that there was genuine concern for me and how I was managing.

Mum had a prepaid funeral plan in place and Nicola at the Co-Op in Walderslade Village made making all the arrangements very easy and followed up every few days with confirmation of the arrangements.
I would not hesitate in recommending the Co-Op's services.
