From the initial phone call I made before my Mum had even passed Albany were professional, warm and compassionate. 

Everything they did showed they really cared about the people involved and providing a smooth, well thought through process. 

There was no sales pitch or pressure on anything, options were given, and they listened to us. 

The funeral went as planned, the staff were a pleasure to work with. 

The people recommended for celebrant and florist were also perfect for what we had expressed Mum would have wanted. 

I would highly recommend Albany Funerals to anyone looking for an independent run undertaker. 

Thank you, the hardest part is learning to live without my Mum, but you made the funeral as easy as it could be.

During quite an emotional journey when we lost my Father, Jo and the Albany team were outstanding: from the first meeting through to dealing with donations at the very end. When my father died recently I found myself having to search for a funeral director in a town I did not know. Google delivered plenty of options but it wasn't until I looked at Albany's website that I felt a personal connection. My instinct was right....from the moment I spoke to Anissa I felt I was in kind, supportive and capable hands which helped tremendously at that time. The communication was spot on throughout and they worked at our pace to get information and items confirmed. The linked services such as the Celebrant and Florist were amazing and really delivered on the day. The visual tribute and the webcast options were great and seemless to use. On the day the team led by Matthew were so kind and welcoming and respectful of us and my dad and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend Albany to anyone who wants the personal touch and to feel truely comforted and supported from the first conversation.

At what is a very sad and stressful time all the staff at Albany funerals gave our family a kind, sympathetic and very professional service and they were available at all times and dealt with everything quickly and efficiently with kindness at all times, especially dealing with the death of my husband with such gentleness. On behalf of my family I would like to say thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful care we received from Albany after the loss of our dear dad. 
Dad was not a religious man and we were looking for something a bit different to the norm to send him off properly and in a way that would have worked for him. From the first call, Albany,  led by Jo, were so kind and caring and helped us to think outside the box. Nothing was too much trouble with the whole package built bespoke to us and our dad. Everything was delivered professionally and efficiently and by quality professionals - from the celebrant, the team, the music and the glorious venue - all made the day incredibly special and one that dad would definitely have approved of.

Albany Funerals provided a unique, comforting and professional service for my dad's funeral. We discussed all of the options and there were no hidden extras or costs. Jo was compassionate and understanding and really supported my brother and I through a really difficult time. Recently, my Dad unexpectedly died. I was in a terrible state with grief, stress and worry. Jo and her team were utterly amazing. I was incredibly stressed out and worrying about organising my Dad's funeral. They instantly helped and turned what I expected to be a very sad day, into an amazing celebration of my Dad's life. It was perfect and brought the whole family together for a beautiful heartfelt day. I've never had to deal with anything like this before and when you find yourself having to deal with the loss of a loved one, I would highly recommend that you speak to Albany Funerals

I cannot speak highly enough of Albany Funerals. They looked after my father's funeral almost ten years ago, and this week, they looked after my mother's... Nothing is too much trouble for Jo and the team and everything is handled with such kindness and sensitivity. We were gently and kindly guided through the process ahead of the funeral date with regular check-ins via email and calls, suggesting some lovely touches along the way... The day itself ran very smoothly, allowing us to focus on what was important to us... Jo and Albany Funerals really couldn't have done a better job. We feel blessed to have found them.

Every step along a very difficult and painful road was made just that little bit easier having you to guide us. I was not prepared for the genuine, comforting, patient and personal touch that you offered, from the moment we first spoke back in November, all the way through to the final car ride after the funeral service on Friday. You helped us say a deeply personal goodbye to the most important person in our lives, and for that we will ever be in your debt."

We could not fault Albany Funeral in any way. They made a very sad process so much easier. All the staff were very professional but in a human, down-to-earth way. We felt totally informed from the initial meeting when making the funeral arrangements right up to the day of the service. Any queries we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently too. They were able to advise on florists and a celebrant, both of who were also spot on in what they delivered. Hope it's not too soon, but we for sure will be using Albany Funerals in the future.

The loss of our much loved Dad and husband of my Mum was a catastrophic event in our lives and we felt very lost and heartbroken. Jo, Angela, Anisa together with Matthew and the wonderful Albany team picked us up took us in their arms and gave us the support we needed at an extremely difficult time. Their care, compassion and understanding is so comforting and we knew we were in good hands from the very beginning of our journey. It was not only us that needed the care but also my Dad as he lay in rest. He was shown the respect and dignity for which we are truly grateful. On the day of the funeral we felt lost again, but once again Matthew and his team wrapped their arms around us and guided us through the day, once again giving our wonderful Dad the respect he truly deserved. Our celebrant Kathryn captured the essence of Dad in her words and those present were able to learn of the full life that he led. Kathryn made us feel safe and supported and we are so thankful she was with us on the day. Mum misses Dad terribly as do we but Jo, Angela, Anisa, Matthew, Kathryn and the rest of the Albany team make a dreadful time bearable. We are truly grateful and will never forget them.

so sorry I haven't written before now but I just wanted to say thank you so much for the way you handled my father's funeral. From the moment we stepped in the door we knew we had made the right choice, the staff we have met have all be exceptionally kind and empathetic and have made what was a very stressful and emotive time that bit easier.

You worked with us to ensure that I was able to attend my sister's funeral in the States and also have dad's funeral in a timely way which meant more to me than you will ever know. The planning of dad's funeral was so good and we as a family were able to specify exactly what we wanted and you accommodated them all even if they were last minute, on the day everything was explained to me and nothing happened without me being told about it first which was really good as our adult 'children' had never attended a funeral or lost someone before so by including us and updating us meant everything.

We were given the choice of remaining in the Crematorium with dad just the four of us which was perfect and gave us 5 - 10 minutes of peace just standing with him talking to him, it gave us all a safe space to cry and just be a family again for one last time, this is something I didn't know we could do and I will be forever grateful that for that short space of time it was just us 5 again.

So I can't thank you enough you have the most amazing team both human and dog! You really did make the whole thing so much easier which having lost both my sister and dad was the support we all needed.

I had called many undertakers prior to arriving at Albany, most of them were appalling in the way in which they answered the telephone, Angela at Albany was understanding and comforting. I made the decision to use Albany based entirely on the way in which Angela handled the initial phone call. Albany did not disappoint in any way, they were courteous, caring and professional in all aspects of the funeral arrangements and the actual service. Through Albany I was introduced to Marc, the celebrant that performed the service, once again, the whole journey through the initial meeting, communication and the service itself, were just what we needed. Albany, made the whole process bearable and we cannot thank them enough for all they did for us. I would recommend them to anyone.

From The meeting to discuss how and what we wanted.. To matching the celebrant which was very important.. And this was spot on.. To the actual day.. The cars and the team were professional and could not do enough for the family.. We gave my dad a send off he would if loved and probably did.. I can't recommend Albany Funerals enough.. Sadly I lost both of my parents within a year. For both funerals we chose Albany to assist and guide us. They had empathy and their gentle kindness in such sad times was wonderful. On the day the timing was superb and Albany ticked every box. They filled us with confidence in such sad circumstances. Such a professional team of staff especially Angela and Matthew. Thank you.

Jo Williamson, and her team at Albany Funerals Maidstone, went above and beyond to give us a very personal service. She ensured we had a wonderful, intimate funeral at the end of March for our beloved Dad, which coincided with the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Our plans were forever changing due to government restrictions and Jo was simply amazing and adapted at every changing step with extraordinary compassion and respect for our feelings. From sourcing asparagus (Dad’s favourite) for inclusion in the floral tribute to putting together an incredible photographic slideshow to accompany the beautiful words to Morning has Broken; nothing was too much trouble. 
We look forward to working with them again to organise a Remembrance Service to celebrate Dad’s remarkable life once we are able to.
