At such a difficult time of loss and sadness they guide you through the steps with immense compassion & ease. Special thanks to Natalie for being so kind and managing every small detail asked of her. Established in 1999 by Jonathan Terry, who has been dedicated to the funeral profession since 1985, they have built a solid reputation for delivering personal and excellent service to families throughout Southampton and beyond.
Over the years, Jonathan Terry have continuously reinvested in their business to ensure that they offer the best possible support to their families. In 2008, in response to the growing demand from families on the eastern side of Southampton, they opened their London Road funeral home.
A significant milestone in their journey came in December 2018 when they acquired 103 Peartree Avenue and launched the White Lily Centre, a bereavement centre offering counselling services to all. The White Lily Centre stands as a symbol of their commitment to supporting families beyond the funeral itself.
In May 2022, their services were further enhanced with the introduction of a new fleet of Mercedes hearses and limousines, ensuring that every aspect of your loved one's final journey is conducted with the utmost care and professionalism.

The London Road funeral home opened in 2008 and relocated to 10 College Place in 2025, opposite the Crown Courts of Southampton, and is under the direction of Ms Sarah Ockwell and Ms Natalie Day. Their opening times are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but they are available 24-hours a day by telephone.

On behalf of our entire family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude during one of the most difficult times in our lives.
From the very beginning, you guided us through arranging our dad’s funeral — something completely unfamiliar and overwhelming to us. Your compassion, patience, and understanding made an unbearable situation feel just a little more manageable.
We spent nearly a month visiting Dad at the funeral home, and throughout that time, you treated us with such kindness and respect. Even when we changed our minds or asked for things to be done differently, you were endlessly patient and always worked with us to ensure our wishes were honoured. That meant more to us than we can ever truly express.
On the day of the funeral, our emotions and anxieties were understandably high. The team who cared for us that day were calm, respectful, and incredibly supportive. Your guidance and reassurance helped us feel safe and looked after when we needed it most.
Natalie looked amazing on the day, and our dad — the smartest and most traditional man we knew — would have truly appreciated the dignity and traditional values you upheld throughout. Everything was handled with such care and professionalism.
We cannot recommend you highly enough. Thank you for treating our dad, and our family, with such compassion and respect.

Very good funeral directors, we were treated with dignity and respect from the moment we walked in to arrange my late father’s funeral. Professional and courteous at all times we were guided through everything that was required and nothing was too much trouble including accommodating our specific requests. The funeral service was handled with sensitivity, respectfulness and dignity throughout. As the funeral was a faith funeral, it was also good to see that they were aware of the Sikh funeral customs and they observed these respectfully. Thank you to Natalie and team for providing a memorable funeral service for our late father.

I am delighted with the service provided by the Jonathan Terry team.
My sister Marian was looked after very promptly after our telephone call and treated with dignity on leaving her home. Such thoughtful gentlemen collected her and were very respectful to her and to her family.
In spite of the bank holiday period I was contacted in good time to arrange Marian's funeral with Natalie she was a marvel with her advice blending seamlessly with my wishes.
I was able to visit my sister in the Chapel of Rest and I felt supported throughout by Sarah and Natalie.
On the day of the funeral everything was carried out with precision and respect and I found the lights in the hearse a lovely touch.
I would also like to mention I was very happy indeed with the celebrant Emma and florist Donna that were recommended to me.
Many thanks indeed for making a very sad occasion easier for all of us.

From the initial meeting of our family, which was excellent, heartfelt and not pressured or overbearing, the constant following up of the delayed death certificate, relieving some pressure from us, to the amazing presentation off staff, vehicles and welcoming presence on the day of the funeral - we cannot thank you all enough and would highly recommend your service to ALL.
