For over 80 years, Chelmsford Star Co-operative Funeral Services has been operating in the mid-Essex area, giving expert advice to help guide bereaved families through the funeral planning process.

The Braintree branch, established in 1993, is situated near the town centre, close to a bus route and with free parking available at the front of the premises. The premises have a private area to arrange funerals and a chapel to view your loved ones in peace. You can also pay a visit to the Hall of Remembrance, where mourners can leave tributes.

Co-operative Funeral Services pride themselves on offering complete bereavement and aftercare support. Clients have access to a free-phone number for 24-hour, seven-days-a-week advice on any problem they might have. There is also a free aftercare service, through local clergy, doctors and care workers, to meet all your needs.

Chelmsford Star will take the time to help you create the ideal funeral for your loved one that truly reflects their wishes, through a choice of coffins, flowers, transport, music and readings. Thanks to nationwide connections, they are also able to meet more unusual requirements, such as a motorbike-hearse, for a unique celebration of your loved one’s life.
