The staff at Lymm's were caring and professional from the first phone call to the time we collected my mother's remains. They showed great understanding and empathy with all our family. It's Hannah thanks for the service it was beautifully done and with a lot of respect . All of the staff put a lot of work into things for my mum and kevin lead the service beautifully I couldn't be more pleased . Everythjng was just perfect god bless you all and thanks again .
A.W. Lymn's Derby office was originally opened by funeral director David Meek in 1986 and the premises are located in the City Centre, at Derwent House, on Becket Street.
The office features garaging for a new fleet of Rolls Royce Phantom cars and also displays a hearse from the 1890’s. Derwent House includes a reception, off-street parking, a family room, a visitation room, cold room facilities and washing facilities for Asian and African / Caribbean funeral rites.
Kevin Hall, the senior funeral director who manages the surrounding area, has been with A W Lymn since 2003 and is aided at the branch by funeral director Neil Reeves and funeral arranger Greg Martin.
The office opening hours are 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday. You can call anytime of the day, seven days a week to schedule an appointment outside of these hours if you would prefer.
This branch covers Derby city centre and its surrounding areas including Allestree, Alvaston, Belper, Breadsall, Chaddesden, Darley Abbey, Duffield, Littleover, Mackworth, Markeaton, Osmaston, Pride Park, Sinfin, Spondon and beyond.
