At a very upsetting time, Lymn's have been sensitive, helpful and caring.  Dan was patient to the last, helping us to come to the final decisions, explaining everything along the way.
On the day, the whole funeral was conducted in a professional manner, which our Father would have been impressed with. We were treated kindly and directed like a finely tuned play.
Excellent service.

Kevin Hall & all the staff have been amazing. Sadly for us,this is our third family funeral in less than two years. On each occasion Lymns have helped & supported us through all the preparations. 
On the day of the funeral, the staff were respectful & attentive. They had large umbrellas & made sure that everyone was dry & comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend Lymns, when a loved one passes away.

I would thoroughly recommend AW Lymn Funeral Directors. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Dan Barnes was excellent at overseeing the arrangements. His soothing manner helped my father and I considerably at such a sad time in our lives. I have to say that, never having had to arrange a funeral before, my original reason for choosing Lymns was owing to them having Rolls Royce cars that I desperately wanted to send my uncle off in, owing to him having been a former Rolls Royce employee. It turned out that it was not just the cars that helped give my uncle the send off he deserved.  It was also the caring and professional nature of the staff. We were given the freedom to make decisions so we could tailor the arrangements to our special requirements. The funeral itself was exactly as special as I had wanted it to be, with a beautiful tribute led by the Celebrant. I am sure my uncle would agree and be very happy too. Thank you AW Lymn, for everything.

Sadly for us this has been the second time we've had cause to use A.W.Lymn in the past nine months, however their care & support made it so much more bearable. 
We cannot praise the staff highly enough for their professionalism & thoughtfulness. In particular Kevin Hall & Derek went above & beyond. We needed to repatriate my Father in law to Italy. Kevin & Derek kept us informed during the whole process & allayed any fears & worries that we had. 
 I would thoroughly recommend using A.W. Lymn Derby, to lay your loved ones to rest.

On the whole we were extremely pleased with the services of A.W.Lymn in Derby. The pick-up to the crematorium was delayed through no fault of A.W.Lymns but we was a little surprised that a photo board to be set up at the crematorium was not with the cars and the lead undertaker was not aware that he should have it nor was he aware that the 'order of service' pamphlets, to be distributed on seats at the crematorium, was not with them. Fortunately due to the delay, created by others, these items were hurriedly delivered to the crematorium and dealt with accordingly, had there not been a delay and a query made, they may not have been there at all. Prior to the funeral I was contacted to check if everything was as we wished this included the picture and order of service pamphlets so somewhere along the way there was a breakdown of communication. A request for a choral version of 'shine Jesus shine' had been made and a copy of the Chester Cathedral choir singing this song played to me over the phone. this was not the version played at the crematorium which was totally instrumental, being a not so well known hymn, it was a bit embarrassing as people didn't know when to start singing.
Other than these minor episodes we thought it was a job well done, thank you.

I am would like to thank them for all the support and help throughout. They were fantastic on the day and very helpful through what was not only a stressful time but a learning curve as it was the death of my father and the first funeral I have had to organise.
