Right from our first meeting with Jill and later with Tee, we all felt cared for, and nothing was too much trouble to have done. The notice cards and Service sheets took some time to get right, but when completed were perfect. The Chapel of Rest visits were respectful and intimate moments and we were left for as long as we wished. The flowers, recording and even down to the caterer for the tea were all organised by Tee and took an immense burden off our shoulders. Everything was excellent. I cannot recommend Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Directors, highly enough. The entire family are thankful for their concern and tenderness at a very difficult time.

There are moments in life when you need someone to simply take the weight off your shoulders, and that's exactly what Jill did for our family.

From the very first time we met her, Jill didn't feel like a funeral director—she felt like someone who genuinely cared. She welcomed us like old friends, took the time to get to know our family, asked about our children and, most importantly, wanted to know about our Nana. It never felt like we were just arranging a funeral; it felt like we were sharing stories about someone we loved with someone who truly wanted to help us honour her.

Throughout every stage of the process, Jill was exceptional. She kept in touch, explained everything clearly, and quietly made sure every detail was exactly as it should be. Her professionalism was faultless, but it was her kindness, warmth and calm reassurance that meant the most. During such an emotional time, knowing everything was in safe hands allowed us to focus on what really mattered—being together as a family and celebrating Nana's life.

The flowers Jill arranged were absolutely stunning and far exceeded our expectations. They were a beautiful tribute to Nana and showed just how much care had gone into every detail.

On the day itself, Jill and her team were simply wonderful. Every member of staff carried themselves with genuine dignity, kindness and respect. The pallbearers were always there when needed, quietly stepping in without fuss, making everything run so naturally that we never had to think about anything other than saying goodbye.

Choosing a local, independent family funeral director was one of the best decisions we could have made. There is something so special about being looked after by people who truly care about the families they serve. Nothing ever felt rushed or transactional. Every conversation, every gesture and every detail came from a place of genuine compassion.

Jill, thank you for giving our Nana the most beautiful farewell we could have wished for. You didn't just organise a funeral—you guided our family through one of the hardest times in our lives with kindness, grace and heartfelt compassion. We will never forget everything you did for us, and we couldn't recommend you more highly. ❤️

The Jill Glencross team were excellent in dealing with my wife's care from the moment I contacted them to inform them that my wife had sadly passed away to dealing with all the funeral arrangements.

The team helped me through this difficult time with a professional and sympathetic step by step approach informing me of what needed to be done in and what order, I cannot thank them enough for the way they supported me and my family.

What can I say. During this devastating time all the staff treated us like family, sometimes crying with us. Nothing was a problem, we visited my beloved husband several times and each time they greeted us with hugs and kisses.

Jill Glencross’s firm were brilliant from the first phone call to make an appointment, where Kevin was very helpful in guiding us through this sad time, and even all the other staff were just as helpful with any questions we had. The service by the celebrant was beautiful as many guests commented on and even for the interment 2 days later both the Jacqui and Kevin were amazing. It wasn’t 5 star treatment it was higher, and we would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them without a qualm
