From start to finish everything was handled beautifully, it was a real benefit having taken out a funeral plan with Odette, saved having to deal with decisions at such a difficult time. This is a family firm which made it so much nicer. A big thank you too to Sue Randall the Civil Celebrant who prepared and delivered such a beautiful service.

At the time, when we all were in deep shock and sadness, my husband's death was so sudden and unexpected, we really needed someone to guide us through. Thanks to my dear friend, we turned to Odette Funeral Director. They have a lovely family team and helped us navigate through the preparation process with great understanding and reassurance. There were lots of details to take care of and Odette and her team were there for us all the way through, with so many useful suggestions and delivered their support during this process with great sensitivity. They made us feel welcomed every single time we have been there. With our special thanks to Sara, who with her lovely smile always made the atmosphere much lighter and somehow took off the heavy feelings from my chest. Sara was always first to remind me, if I ever forgot something, or missed the timing on things that needed to be done. She was sincere and natural. We have received a lovely, very respectful and personal Service for my Darling husband. The whole experience with Odette from start to the end was a good journey. I cannot recommend enough Odett Funeral Director and there are not enough words to express our heartfelt Thanks and gratitude to everyone who was involved.

About Us
Odette Funeral Director is an independent funeral service in Calne, Wiltshire. Odette first started out working for another well known funeral director but when that was sold to a big corporate in 2014, Odette decided to venture out on her own, to offer a personal, respectful service to Calne and the surrounding community.
Odette has a wealth of experience and knowledge having been in funeral service for over 20 years. She passed the Diploma in Funeral Directing in 2007, and has previously worked as a Pathology Technician, giving her a fantastic understanding of the coroner system in Wiltshire.
Odette Funeral Director is a true family business. Odette’s daughter, Sara, is a Funeral Arranger and deals with all administration. Sara has been in the family business since 2016 and she has two children herself. Odette‘s son Tom started in the family business once he left school in 2017, and helps with administration and with all other aspects of organizing a funeral. Tom is looking forward to the future and is starting his training to be a Funeral Conductor.
Odette Funeral Director is very proud of the standard of service they provide to the people of Calne, offering advice and guidance on what would be a fitting and lasting tribute to a loved one, whether that be a new headstone or cremation tablet, a refurbishment of a stone or if you just require a further inscription.
